They did, it is hard to track Off Shore banks, to get the proofs. Just imagine, what bribes such companies could pay...

In Las Vegas it is legal, the online part was illegal in USA.

Yeah, they have been shut down completely, do not know what will appen in the future, probably they won't come back, but some new sites will come.

 

Damn... What about any funds he had in his account?

 

^ I think they will be refunded as long as he can prove he had any, its big company, doubt they would scam.

 

Their bank accounts are frozen, so unless the goverment/court will issue these refunds.

That's terrible. Whoever had money on those websites probably lost it.

Um... yeah... The .com sites were illegal websites. The .net sites are the real ones which are openly advertised everywhere, which are still around.

Don't see the point of this post other than someone trying to steal money from people by owning/using a common URL that one might make a mistake in typing.

 

Pokerstars had all the domains .net .com. eu etc. all were owned by Pokerstars. They got charged because of money laundering, illegal gambling in usa and other stuff.

Pokerstars got charged as a company, it does not matter which domains have been taken, .com has been taken, because it had most of the traffic.

You realize to some people, poker is their job? They make a living off of it. Just because you might suck at poker and can never make money, doesn't mean it's not an honest living.

No, everyone will be able to withdraw their money, no one will lose anything.
