Buying Phats Mid = BAN

How accurate is this statement?
Buying a Phat for mid = RWT Ban? Does buying multiple Phats in a short period of time for mid = RWT Ban?

How safe is this actually. I'm wondering.

Not at all. On some of my accounts I sell phats for mid. On some of my mains that I dont RWT on I trade rares and loan them to my friends on occasion for mid. No way they can prove it.

 

I have never heard of anyone getting banned by buying any item even christmas crackers for trade price.

 

im constantly giving my friend phats to hold, its done so often jagex could never accuse someone of RWT just because they didnt add junk

 

Someone told me they sold 2 Phats mid and 2 hweens for mid in 1 week that they banned his acc for RWT.

Now that my bank is expanding I'm looking to buy phats, so I don't want to waste my account ya know lol. I guess I have nothing to worry about

If I decide to buy a Phat with IRL $ and I go in game and I meet some random person (who would be trusted on this site of course) and they sell me a Phat mid. Jagex wouldn't find that strange and ban?

 

not at all, what if the guy didn't have junk and just wanted rid of phat? jagex can't ban for RWT just because you got a phat for mid. it happens constantly and it sounds like your friend was just unlucky

 

Hah actually it wasn't even a friend. I offered to buy his Blue and he apparently sold a white yesterday for $125 (rofl). His response was I don't use OMMs (after I offered to pay fee) but instead he gave me some story about how he will log on my account, and trade the phat over, then I can see he traded it and send him the Paypal $. Sounded like Bs (and probably was) and then he told me how he got banned for RWT which is why he uses this method.

Sorry for the long story, but it made me panic although it's pretty evident I would have had 600m junk if I went on. I guess that IS true, I would sell my Phat also if I didn't have junk.

 

He's obviously trying to scam you of your account, and possibly your GP.

 

yeah he was more then likely trying to scam you, no that can't be tracked as RWT, i would death TWC with this guy, make him go first if you do it

No but seriously, the likelihood of a ban for that is slim.

 

Lol, you can't get banned for trading game items for trade price... End of it.

 

I've already arranged a deal with Classic for a Blue, I go first. This way I know I will receive the Blue + I won't get scammed haha. =]

 

They don't need to prove it, this is the assumption I've thought also, but Runescape is not ran by a democracy. They do what they want.

But anyways that comment could most definitely be accurate. If Jagex thinks u are they'll ban u, they don't need evidence.

 

My lvl3 acc has bought over 6 phats and sold 5, now its still fine.

 

I think that its bullshit to be honest.

 

Its possible because of the rarity of the items
