Are Asians really more intelligent?

Yeah I've heard people claim asians to be "smarter then the average Joe".


Do you believe they really are smarter?

I believe they are more disciplined and taught earlier by parents.

In addition, some of them just choose to study harder.

Thoughts?

 

If there's just 6.7 billion people in the world and 4 billion of them are Asians, who do you'll be seeing more of turn out successful?

I don't really think so, I think they just use common sense more and have a better society in term of efficiency. If you don't agree with this go live somewhere in Asia for 2 years or Stfu imo.

Meh, penis size has just as poor correlation as IQ. Asians are just smaller people in general, being Asian myself. Make all the jokes you want, I'm barely over 5'7.

The answer is this - Asians (particularly Chinese/Japanese) in America will have a much higher education/ IQ on average. This is because only the top tier 5-10% of people can even GET here. If you look around and ask around, you'll find most Asian parents to have graduate degrees from the best schools in their area.

However, if you got to actually visit Asia, the disparity won't be as high. Though people may KNOW MORE, it's only because they have school from 8-6 everyday, and because the rest of their lives depend on their test scores. On average, Asians are probably more educated, but if you consider IQ as a whole, probably not so much more.

 

Ive heard that alot Of asians Get pushed To study By their parents. And they get whooped when they make an A instead of an A+

 

My Theory:​

We all know that Asia has the world's largest population, right?


With the large population, schools still accept the same number of students.

My theory is that they have went through a similar somewhat process of "natural selection". The large population is kind of pushing their educational opportunities to be quite narrow.

With more people, there's bound to be geniuses and I believe they have learned to accept that fact and adapt by working harder. The ever-growing population will gradually continue it's upwards population surplus and people will work harder and harder to be better then their competition.

The colleges will continue to accept the same number of people (hypothetically) and them doing so makes more people want to work harder to achieve their goals on getting in.

Over time, people would adapt to this change and they will have absorbed more knowledge with each generation.

 

The Himalayas and mountains of China are cold and have harsh winters. Since prehistoric times these winters have wiped out people who were not smart enough to survive and caused natural selection of the higher-IQ Asians, and those are the ones you see today.

You can see a lack of natural selection in this regard in warmer places of the world (like Africa).

Indians/South Asians are (as I've said before) a mix of Caucasoid European and Eastern Mongoloid, and their average IQ is about the same as Europeans. (I know that some studies have shown that the average South Asian IQ is about 85, but if you minus the population in poverty, it's actually about 95).

Not entirely race. More of genetics within family more than the whole race. Just like the "American Way". People drop out because they think they will be alright in the future. It's more Americans than one specific race.

Also, the parents are too a big factor.

No they arent. Their culture instills education as the first priority in life. Many asian children dont get bf/gf or cars, etc. until "later" by other culture's standards. They are required by their parents and society to excell in all that they do, including acedemics.

 

I'm Asian and I try my best on my studies and work after that, I just go to IRC or goof off with my friends.

 

They have more ambition then other races.

 

I don't think they're smarter, they just give a fuck, as us Americans really don't.

 

I don't think they're smarter, I think that they just work harder than most people. And all the Asians that I know are crazy good at sports, if that means anything. But I don't think that they're necessarily smarter.
