I decided to watch this move. Originally just because emma watson was in it. This is probably one of the best movies iv seen in 2012. By the end i almost found myself crying. I'm not much of a person to cry about movies but this one was just amazing and i loved it. The soundtrack to this movie is amazing in my opinion and emma watson really captured her character so well. Anyone else see this movie? If so what did you think about it?

I've got a long list of like 50 movies that I want to see written down in a Notepad on my laptop, and this is one of the next ones up :p I've seen some trailers for it before and it looks great, can't wait to see it.

Saw this movie on a website, and decided to download just to pass some time whilst i was getting work done. I safely agree with you in saying this was one of the best movies of 2012.

As good as the movie was, I thought the book was better. I'm not the biggest fan of Emma Watson, but Ezra Miller was really good.

I just finished watching the movie tonight and I really enjoyed it :)

I grew very curious about the book after reading that 'Perks' was based on a book. After a bit of research, it appears that this is one of the very unusual cases where the author of the original book ALSO wrote the screenplay & even directed the movie, so I've read that it does stay as true to the feel of the book as possible. But naturally, due to time restraints, budgets, and having to chop and edit a thick, rich story into the confined limits of a motion picture, the movie could never tell the full story.

I was planning on going to the library tomorrow to try and pick up a copy of Mystic River, but I'm going to try and nab a copy of 'Perks' if I can find one. I've read that the book is much darker, and I am a big fan of dark and depressing stories (not to mention coming-of-age stories).

Thanks lame123 for recommending it ^_^

Hmm, I think that I need to check this out. I've only heard the name, I'll check on netflix first.

edit: Found it elsewhere; watching now ;)

re-edit: at the awkward dance scene *cringing*

re-re-edit: "I dare you to kiss the prettiest girl in the room" 5 seconds later "Well that's fucked up" lolol

Pretty decent movie, I thought something might come of his extra reading and such though aka attending college early.

Not really a fan. It was too teen angsty for me, the soundtrack was great though.

I saw this movie on a date, generally not what I expected.. A lot darker themes than I thought (I hadn't looked in to it).

    Huge mood killer.

One of the better movies I've seen recently. It managed to make me tear up 2-3 times too.
