    Suggestion to ensure to mention an account with an unregistered email can still be recovered/is not 100% safe specifically in the 'accounts are always recoverable' thread.

    I've experienced tons of people (which I've had to educate) that just because the account is unregistered does not mean it cannot get recovered.

    It's randomly out of place in the rule posts versus the recoverable post:
    [Section Rules] Old School RuneScape Accounts - it's randomly placed in here when it seems better suited for Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable, even with a Middleman/Recovery Test!

    The same can be duplicated to every pinned post in every account section.

    I think it should always be mentioned regardless, for some reason people still seem to think "accounts are safe, because the person is trusted" but people forget, PEOPLE DO CHANGE for better or worse

    Not even talking about all that - just that it boils down to that section about unregistered not being 100% safe seems out of place & in an area that likely will not be seen. I believe it has to do directly with accounts are always recoverable sticky & should be edited/added into there. Short & sweet suggestion.

    I agree, I know it's pinned in the OMM/MM section but it should 100% be moved or replicated in the OSRS AND RS3 account section. Too many times have I been requested to do a "recovery" test with the false pretence that the account can't be recovered.

    Support. I agree with what Buffed said about people changing. You can purchase an account from someone who has a very well established business and everything can be fine for years. If shit hits the fan, you best believe they're gonna try yoinking all those accounts back. I've seen it TOO many times.


    EDIT: Often even if they don't care for the account anymore, they will recover to try and wipe the wealth and leave you with the account

    Just playing devil's advocate here but what does explicitly stating what you've mentioned really change?

    The thread already says "accounts are ALWAYS recoverable" (always being the imperative word).

    Does always not already encompass every possible situation? People can just inevitably find some other kind of misinformation to cling to or move the goalpost elsewhere.

    You'll most likely have to educate anyone who is misinformed on the topic regardless of what thread it's stated on.

    You'd be surprised. The amount of time I educate people (who should basically read/understand an accounts are ALWAYS recoverable thread) about the fact that no email does not equal non-recoverable.

    It's also the fact that this An account with an unregistered email can still be recovered line is randomly placed in Section rules (which doesn't make sense) versus the Accounts are Always recoverable, even with a Middleman/Recovery Test thread.
