How to put video games/internet in moderation

Are you that kind of guy like me who would rather stay at home and play video games and surf the internet all day long but you wanted to be put everything in moderation? Then this might be the right guide for you.

Keep yourself busy on other stuff
You're probably wondering what this is, what I'm trying to say after you took a break from the internet/video games, try to do some other stuff as well that would make you busy because sometimes after I take a break, I usually go back on playing again after like 5 mins because I have nothing to do so maybe do something that would keep you off the computer a little while.

    Become a more social person
If you've got nothing to do at home aside from using the computer and you think you already had enough, try to call your friends and hang out, of course do something find that would completely make you forget about the computer for a bit of a time.

    Realize that it's becoming bad
I used to be overweight because I spent most of my childhood (starting 6) in front of the computer but everything was in moderation till I got into freshmen high school, I realized that I have spent 80% of my money into virtual stuff and it's not normal anymore so I started hanging out with friends and being a more social person and it's really fun, time will come where you will realize that video games and the internet is a waste of time (NOT AT ALL) but of course you've got something important to do, try to make it a priority first instead of going into the computer first instead of doing what you have to do.

Don't waste your time too much
If you have school or work tomorrow in the early morning and it's already late, go to bed because there are still lots of times where you can waste your time into the computer as I used to stay up late till 12 am even though I've got school in the early 7 morning, every time I go to school, I always wanted to sleep in the class and ended up just going home because my school doesn't let students to sleep in class.

That's all everyone, hopefully it will work as I think it won't work for everyone else but it worked for me. It might not be just for video games and internet and it might work for stuff like drinking alcohol, smoking, etc.

It's not bad for someone to spend a lot of time in the computer as long as it's in moderation because it's a hobby, it's like telling someone who buys a lot of cool sneakers that he is wasting money, you don't have the right to tell them that because it's their hobby.

Well good luck then and what do you mean by that?

You mean you're the only one who is overweight in your family? You have to stop taking too much waste that has a lot of sugar like soda, candies, brownies, etc. and maybe you should also try to lose weight.
