How much do you know about/Like Pokemon?

Recently I feel the "Sythe public" have been giving Pokemon more... attention I guess you could say.

I am 18 years old right now, used to watch pokemon when I was like.. 7?

What I know about it: Pretty much the old things.. I used to play the pokemon games when I had a gameboy (which I sold like 10 years ago), I dont like pokemon right now and think its mainly for young persons.

 

I have no knowledge of modern Pokemon, but if you ask me anything about the first gen, I could definitely answer.

I remember having hundreds upon hundreds of cards, every holo you could think of, then I had this pack of these Japanese unreleased 2nd gen pokemon (from gold/silver) long before that came to america, and that's about where I stopped.

Remember the ancient mew cards from the movie that came out? lol

 

How much does the Pokemon franchise in general interest you: Quite a bit.
How many episodes of Pokemon have you watched (estimate): No idea. Probably a few series worth when I was a little kid but I don't want it anymore. A little too cheesy for me now.
Do you Play the games/Collect cards/Watch episodes/Other (please explain): I still have a few pokemon cards laying around from when I was a little kid. I still play all the games.
Anything other you'd like to put: When I was just a little kid my parents won a Pokemon Silver cartridge pre-release from a Cheetos contest. I've played every Pokemon game since Silver. I know all the pokemon Generation 3 and earlier, and some after that although I know basically none of the new Pokemon. I really don't like the Black/White designs, and fuck that X and Y shit.

 

I've played the games from Red through to Black 2. That is my main interest. I have no interest in the other areas of the Pokemon franchise.

 

I used to watch pokemon all the time, until I was around 14 (yeah, only 3 years ago :/). However, I've only ever played 2 of the games, Fire Red and Sapphire, but I've just been addicted recently to the Fire Red ROM (PokeMMO), and I've always collected the annuals when I was younger as well as the cards. IDK why but I've always had that addiction, might have to watch some of the episodes for the nostalgia.


By the way, if you watched every episode of pokemon, you'd have just over 10 days of viewing time. That's gotta be well worth it.

 

Yeh I still got my card, though recently bought a factory sealed one with the bonus card thing for $3
I never played fire red or leaf green cause I always thought it a complete remake of the original 1st gen but just better graphics, now I realize its not I'll play it soon, but I got work a lot and other shit to do.

And yeh IDB, I beleive I watched the first series (82 episodes I think) within 8 days or something, and that is 68 hours a lone.

I usually wake up and watch 3 episodes or so, (lasts an hour and wakes me up) then when I go to bed watch it while doing other stuff on internet so I fit a fair few episodes in then
As everyone says the later gens are shit, personally I don't think they're bad, still good and fun to watch, I mean come on try making 750 or whatever amount of Pokemon yourself and tell me all yours are original idea's lol.

 

Got 2 sealed ancient mew cards and a sealed promo legendary bird (not sure which one though) if they are worth anything.

Big fan of gen 1, 2 and 3.
Played all of the games up until black and white.
Watched the shows when i was little.
Got into wifi battling last year.

 

Pokemon remains a large part of my childhood. I remember getting up in the morning to watch it. oh how I miss those good old days. I don't watch Pokemon anymore as it seems to me, they're running out of ideas for all these new pokemons and their names are ridiculous. I should watch the first few seasons of Pokemon all over again when I get the time to.

 

When they first came out I watched the first three seasons pretty regularly and then the next two seasons semi-regularly, nothing after that. I played Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Silver, Gold, and Sapphire. So ya, that's the extent of my knowledge. Grew up after that, but I still like to go back and play some of the games I mentioned every now and then.

 

The last game I ever owned was Ruby version. I watched the show pretty frequently up until the 3rd generation came out. Then my little brother got Rangers of Almia for the DS, so I'd help him out all the time on that. I was huge on collecting cards as well, but I sold most of them a long time ago and only kept my favorites.
I really don't care about any of the recent things they've come out with, but overall I think the first three generations had a good run while they lasted. They won't lose their cool in my book

 

I played up to emerald. Going to probably check out some of the later hand held games.

I never liked the show all that much but was a huge fan of the cardgame and collecting the cards when i was little. Though my knowledge is limited to first gen.

I dont really care for the later gens honestly, but the games are pretty great. The gameplay is a bit too repetitive but i like the niche in RPGs pokemon has establised.

 

I should know everything up to the 3rd/4th generation. Been a Pokemon addict since I was younger. Lol, I even played secretly during my freshman year of high school. I'm gonna download that Poke MMO shortly though; looks like fun !

 

Yeh I secretly play and collect too lol, the kids I hang around with would probably just cal me "gay" and "sad" lol, except my best mate, he don't care cause he plays.

This exactly. The current pokemon I can say I have zero to no knowledge about it but the first generation pokemon I was a straight fucking addict (same with yu-gi-oh).

 

Played everything from yellow, proud owner of gameboy advance with leafgreen and emerald, (played d & p in an emulator) and playing white and white 2 while waiting gen 6.

The show I've watched since it came out and almost forgot about it in mid Advance gen. But I actually see the show today, playing the games just makes me want to watch the show

 

Honestly, not a lot. I never was one to theory craft and whatnot. Just run through the game and dick around with friends.

One of the reasons why I like it so much is no matter how hardcore you play the game you will have a blast, and it almost subconsciously caters to both the hardcore and casual crowd.

 

Enjoyed playing Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald on Gameboy but that's about the extent of my Pokemon endeavors.. I watched the TV series as a kid but I don't know any background info about the history etc.

 

I hate playing the same gen game over on a differn't game which is pretty much the same, its pointless to me lol, I personally know pretty much everything from 3rd gen down, and quite a lot about 4th and I know some about 5th gen, not into it yet.
