Are PC Gamers Too Good for Console Gamers?

You would have no chance. PC gamers have a huge advantage because they can react faster.

 

Yeah, aiming using a mouse is 100 times easier than using a controller.

 

Yupp. Only reason I got a console (360) for games, is because you know a console isn't going to lag you during ANY game built for it.... Where as a laptop/desktop that isn't quite up to par, could lag.
OT: Agree with the post above, it is way easier to aim with a mouse. I told someone on the 360 "Yeah, my aims not quite that good yet, still trying to learn to aim for the head" and they replied with: "what?" why?".

 

Thats why there is auto-aim on most of the console games...
Its so obvious that anyone with a mouse can aim faster and more preciese than someone with a Joystick on a console controller.

 

This is why I have a gaming PC.

 

Same, I play alot of ArmA II and monday or so I am buying ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead. Such an awesome game, and yeah they dont have it on the consoles.

Honestly, are you kidding?
Every game that uses an internet connection or a console, wether it be PC or Xbox360 or PS3, it's going to lag.
That's common knowledge.
It can be the internet, or it can be the actual console itself overheating.

As for the thread topic, The PC gamers have an obvious advantage.
There's headsets (I'm aware there are headsets for consoles like Turtlebeach and others but the PC has more of a genre that are intended for more than just gaming for example, Skype and whatnot.)
Keyboards (More commands for binds, macros, controls.)
There's also mice which can be programmed for certain games with their sensitivity or macros if you have a mouse which has programmable buttons on itself.
PC Gamers are more aware of their surroundings (My Opinion.) and they have more speed and attention with their aiming and firing.

Most people get a console system for the games that aren't playable on a PC.
For example, Little Big Planet.
However there are some games that are available for PC and a Gaming Console.
For example, Gears of War.
Most of the games that are available on both have a certain feeling that they need to stay on just the console. Like the Games for Windows client and it's games.

To be honest, Games for Windows Live shouldn't even exist. It's really gay and annoying. But some GFWL games are pretty good. I believe every game should be allowed for both platforms.

 

I have to disagree there, not every game should be allowed on every console.
It allows a competitive edge as well as it's own quality of a gaming console.

 

pc gamers indeed do have better aiming due to the mouse.....buuuut i like using a controler... controls seem to be easyer

 

But in all honesty how could a console compete with a pc online?
The console would have no chance and even the best of console players will have a hard time going vs'ing some of the new players to PC because of the fact aiming is so easy. Also go on a PC game and do a 180 as fast as you can then go try the same thing on Console.... Bunnyhopping would be another issue as it is muuuch harder to do so on a console

 

A Console can beat PC players if you raise the sensitivity high enough. Xbox Sensitivity hits the max of 10. A max PC game's sensitivity is around 100.

Sensitivity has nothing to do with skill and aiming..

Most professional players on the PC, play with lower sensitivity, as you're zooming around missing your surroundings at 10 sensitivity, we'll be watching you and hit you halfway across the map because we pay attention.

 

He meant the game itself isn't going to lag because the game is going to be used for that console, its going to match the hardware. On a computer the game and the computer need to be on the same level, or with the computer on a higher level. On a console the game will never be so technical the console could not play it. So you do not expierence lag of that kind. There are more than one type of lag so you can judge what someone is expierencing.

 

It is true about the hardware but I heard alot of my xbox and ps friends who says their games lagg because of overheating. Lagg is just an issue on all consoles and pc, It just can always happen.

 

We pay attention? I bet if I played you 1v1 PC vs Xbox, I would win. I don't need time to pay attention, I rush and I'm not stupid enough to not notice such obvious things.

 

How do you know that for sure... you dont even know how skilled the other player is. And if you are playing with a Xbox controller and the other one with mouse, well... you lose, thats just a fact. And yeah rush is the only thing an average Xbox player can do, because it doesn't require any brain usage.

 

I had a PC, sold it and bought my ps3, but wish i kept PC instead, i know this doesnt answer the question.

On topic - Pc is easier with mouse, but you need more skill than consoles i believe.
