So It's finally here DayZ standalone has finally been released it is in pre-alpha and you can pick it up at steam!

Must be VERY buggy at this point, will wait a bit till i pick it up.

 

it's not bad for being in a alpha, though it is quite buggy. I played for at least 5 hours straight yesterday and enjoyed every bit of it

just found out they sold 172,500 copies in 24 hours...

roughly $5 million dollars in a day for an alpha

 

I have an i5 3570k and a GTX 770 and my FPS is horrid.

 

You just made my day. I was waiting on this forever and finally just forgot about it and now it's out. Thank you sir.

You have to remember its a pre-release alpha, you're going to have that, but if have a gtx 780 and my fps is fine

If you love dayZ then you won't be disappointed

It's well worth it m8!



Plus they already released an update for it and more coming soon!

The open-world multiplayer survival game was based off the award-winning mod of the same name. The 2012 mod was designed by Hall for the PC game “ARMA 2,” a military simulation game. Development of the standalone title began in Aug. 2012 by Bohemia Interactive, with Hall as the project lead. In April 2013, Hall felt that a console version of “DayZ” was “almost certain.” He felt that he was “quite happy for ‘DayZ’ to come out on any console that is indie-friendly.’” However, Hall currently feels that a console version won’t be released until a PC version is available.
