Suggest some good books

so until i get a better job this summer i'm looking for some good books to read. currently i've read every single book in my house like 2 times and i'm looking to really get some new good books. especially since i haven't read through a novel in months and months now. i like most genres so suggest whatever.

The Prestige by Christopher Priest
The Dark Tower series by Stephen King
Any Issac Assimov, Phillip K. Dick, or Robert A. Heinlein books.
All of H.P. Lovecraft's work
Any Clive Barker book in the Books of Blood series
Godel, Escher, Back Douglas Hofstader

That is a small list, and I know I could think of more. Just can't think of any right now.

 

Are you into Fantasy?

The Belgariad + Mallorean series by David Eddings is pretty good.

Also, The Night Angel by Brent Weeks is a nice take on assassins.

This is Your Brain on Music - Daniel Levitin

 

The Hunger Games is a very good series to read.

- about neuroplasticity, the discovery that our everchanging brain has the ability to allow blind people to see again, improve learning difficulties, and such, a very interesting read

 

Abhorsen series by Garth Nix remains my third favorite series to this day, only after Harry Potter and Eragon

Never read the Game of Thrones, but I guess it's supposed to be a good series.

Angels & Demons
The Lost Symbol (By far my favorite from Dan Brown, all of these are by him. Not to mention this one will be made into a movie and be released later this year! The other two have already been made into movies.)

 

Twilight.

No, but seriously, Polaris by Jack McDevitt is probably my favorite book of all time. It's fantastic.

 

The Giver - Lois Lowry
The Oursiders - S. E. Hinton

Both are wonderful books, I highly recommend reading them.

 

Most books by John Saul are great...The dexter series by Jeff Lindsey or most books by stephen king. I really liked the Bachman books by him...The Long Walk is my favorite Stephen King book.

 

Anything by Ellen hopkins and two other great amazing books are "Exit here" And "It's kind of a funny story".

 

The Great Gatsby, Uncle Tom's Cabin, And Canterbury Tales. are my favorite 3 books. Great Gatsby starts slow but it ends great!

 

yes, read all three of the books, they are amazing

 

ew no, The Hunger Games were terrible after the first book. The second and third read like a 3rd grader wrote them.

 

look I know everyone hates it, but To Kill a Mockingbird is a good movie..
