Anyone know why pmod recruitment has been shut for a year?

Was speaking to a pmod today who said recruitment has been closed for well over a year but they couldn't say why. So anyone here know? Posted in the cheating section for increased chance of finding 1337 people.

 

Probably because they didn't really need anymore and because a lot of "illegit" people from sites like this were getting modships and leaking info and harming their efforts.

 

That was the one thing I suggested to him and he said no. He made it sound like some weird reason though, certainly wasn't implying they didn't need anymore.

I am sure there is something else to it.

 

It's because they have to be cops in the game as is.

 

They probably got tired of reading all the bot reports from do gooders. THey then thought to themselves... DO we really need more of these assholes whining. At least we make money from the botters and they don't complain.

 

Your friend may be telling you a fib to make his mod ship seem a little more special.

 

He didnt bring it up. Was in a FC and a non mod mentioned it that they havent been taking people in for over a year, and the pmod confirmed. They have no reason to lie and didnt bring it up themself.

 

I don't think a pmod would know for certain, whether Jagex were still recruiting pmods or not. Jagex probably still recruit pmods, but don't recruit as much these days, maybe because they are lazy sods.

 

Probably because they realized most RS players aren't mature enough to be moderators =/

 

Because pmods are a joke, people do it for the rank.

 

I wouldn't have thought they would've closed promoting people off but i dont see the need for huge numbers of player mods anyways :/

Half the Pmods dont do their jobs well and id say quite a few of them are on sites like these.
Jagex needs to clean themself up before hiring more

 

I agree, the P Mods that are already on the job don't do it very well.

I'd say 60% of them are leaking to sites like these.

 

They already have one in Player Mods' lounge.
