    Where do I get started?

Where do I go to open an account for investing/stocks?

    Etrade.com?

I tried google but honestly, the results are just guides on the stock market/tips and "buy my book" things.

Where did you guys register at?

I just need to find that ^ :p

    Thanks a lot.

Both my parents use eTrade, and it's safe.

I would therefore recommend that should you be serious in venturing into the share market to open an eTrade account. There are probably some other websites but I have no knowledge of them, but I do know that eTrade is legitimate.

idk if you know so little, i would learn more before you go jumping into stocks, tbh any true investor would neverrrrrr use something like etrade.com its terrible. they make so much money off you(and thats their job)

i would learn a little bit more then you will be able to open your own portfolio and manage it yourself so you wont have to worry about someone slowly taking your money.

i wouldn't be telling you this if i knew nothing, im a accounting major and i can promise you, that you won't make any money in stocks with a company like etrade

To be honest, your not going to make a great deal with stocks at the moment. The only stable areas of investment are in utilities, and they are offering relatively high price p/share due to the demand.

If you want to take a risk you could look for a start up company but a decent amount of shares and try your luck. Who knows it could be the next Apple... lol

eTrade is a great way to invest. I use it personally + they got funny commercials.

    Where do I get started?

I agree with above post. I started at eTrade and it was pretty good start. But right now really is not a good time for investment.
