Are you afraid of death?

I am not afraid of death, I am afraid of the unknown that death brings but I do believe there is something after death.

90% of the people who say they aren't are. Im sure if you were slowly being lowered into a pit of lava you would be afraid.

 

I agree, I am afraid of not knowing what Is going to happen, I guess people can say that my faith in God or my faith in a certain religion is not enough so I will just live with that fear for now.

 

Yeah, I admit, I would be afraid of being burnt alive, but im not afraid of death itself.

I know, I hate it, makes you anxious, to want to know what happens after death.

 

I am afraid of how I die, such as burning alive or drowning. I am also afraid of what comes after death. Will I simply be another body in the ground, or will my conscious mind be at another level of existence.
I have been near-death many times before, so death itself, is something I am quite familiar with.

 

I'd like to die in peace and serenity. I do not fear death, I just fear the process of dying.

 

Terrified, who isn't? Who the hell wants to die? Get out man..I want to live life and have as much fun as possible. I want to know that I've done enough things and have satisfied myself as much as possible before I die. Then i feel as if I deserve it, as if it were a nice long rest.

I don't fear death. I don't fear anything. To me fear is a useless emotion that will just waste my time. I used to be afraid of things, but when you have a near death experience you learn not to fear and to live. I have always wondered what happens when you die and I will embrace death when it shall happen.

 

Fear is a valuable emotion, in my opinion. It makes us feel more,

 

Why the hell would people vote no?, seriously who the hell isn't scared of death, no one wants to die.

 

I don't fear dieing. I fear having to leave everyone I know and love.

 

I know. Im not though, enough shit has happened to me that I really dont give a fuck.

I would like to believe in life after death, but it is all too farfetched for me.
I believe that its just darkness. Which I hate the thought of.

 

I believe when we die our conscious is lost but our energy still exists on earth. Let me explain, this is the way I like to look at it. Our energy remains on Earth and will be passed on until the end of the earth. For example, if my body is in the ground for 100 years it will more than likely be rotted and maggot/worm infested. Those worms and their offspring will have my energy inside of them. Those create new life and those create new life. They create soil and grass and small plants begin to grow. The grass is created with my energy and it contains my energy. Animals eat the grass and produce new animals with my energy. Those animals are eaten by larger animals with my energy and they create animals with my energy. So if you continue to look at the scale of things all humans contain energy from other humans. It is one large chain of life but no matter the difference, my energy remains on Earth creating new life every day.

So in this sense no I am not afraid of death. This theory allows me to believe that my energy will be used to create new life for thousands of years. Why fear death when you can create life?

 

Er, not being able to enjoy your life anymore?

I don't fear a death that's natural, or painless, or..heroic. But I would be scared of dying in some painful, pointless way.

 

I'm not afraid of the death part, just afraid of how fast it will come. I want enough time.
