Do You Feel Like Christians Today Are Two-Faced?

Maybe this is the wrong section...
I'm not athiest..but i used to go to a christian school, i had was accepted by them..but alot of new kids wernt ect..i changed who i was for these ppl. I learned people who were to me the nicest people and good examples of what a christian should be, were just the opposite and knew it...yet they pretend to be all christian and pass judgement on those who are not very out spoken on their beliefs..idk what are your thoughts?

 

Basicly, the majority of christians are hypocrites.

Everyone is hypocritical. There is no way we can be perfect, sure, as Christians, we are hypocritical. Nothing new. Don't dwell on it.

 

I've notice this to, pretty often.
they will do what it takes to bring you on there side,
they will tell you're wrong and your religion is stupid.
yet you see them at all the parties your at.
doing what your doing.

 

But the hypocrisy of christians (or any other religion) is worse, because they focus their lifestyle around (for example) the word of Jesus and you should love thy neighboor and shit according to him, but in reality, nothing of this is true.

Yes, many are, I being one of them.

 

No one can follow the rules 100%. Christianity sets guidelines that should at least be attempted to be followed.

Athiests have nothing to be hypocritical toward. They have no morals/rules defined by a religion for them to break.

 

Most Christians I've met have been nice enough, don't seem that much more hypocritical than most other people.
I think their religion is kind of silly sure, but it doesn't bother me.

 

That is rather a biased and stereotypical statement to make. Actually,
Christianity is a very understanding religion, they are taught not to judge others, not to go to war and have a moral understanding on society.

Yes, some christians may seem different to your average devoted Christian,
but some people have such a prodigious bond with their faith that sometimes
they might feel offended for others not to feel the same about their beliefs.

So you have to take everything into account before you make silly, inappropriate accusastions

 

two faced, as in..they sin ect..we all do i know this. But you do something wrong or they find out you had a drug addiction and weight issues whe nu were younger..yet they cast judgement on you and dont wanna hang with you...its hard for me to explain..but then you here all about these kids who are soposevly who you should act more like...and i see them partying, getting drunk...they ask me where to score weed and wanan smoke with me..its like..im trying to change but the majority of this school is a lie and so is the friendships with these christian ppl

Most people that call themselves a Christian, really aren't a Christian.

 

I didn't say all Christians are two-faced, but a majority of them are, if you open your eyes and have grown up in the church..mostly i speak of teens because i am one and am surrounded by them.

 

I will also add that hanging out with a group of friends that are actually what they profess to be (Christians) is one of the most awesome things in life.

 

The majority of Americans are hyprocrites. Majority of Americans are Christian. The majority of Christians are hyprocrites...

In all seriousness though, there is only hypocrisy if Christians somehow believe they should be held to higher standards than others.

 

Atheists are just people, but without any written guidelines to live their life. "We" atheists choose to live our life the way we think it's best. This includes knowing what's good and bad. Nobody has to teach you that, you have to find it out yourself.

 

Christianity to me is the most corrupt system of beliefs ever conceived. It lets people go about as they please and simply go ask for forgiveness at the end of the day. The only qualifications needed to be a Christian is to admit that Jesus Christ is your lord.

The whole hell idea is stupid. With how Christianity is set up, hell is basically a place for all those who don't want to be in the Jesus fan club. And heaven is for all those that believe in Jesus, no matter how many bad things you have done in your life, if you go ask for forgiveness you'll go to heaven.

Christianity was simply a system created by rulers to get herds of people to obey them by sucking up to the top, and it worked.

 

Not even close... you can't just wake up and say "I'm gonna go kill someone but it's OK cause I'll be sorry for it." It doesn't work like that. You have to be truly sorry.

 

Ok... now show me where it says that in the Bible.
