Best way to train Defence 99

Hello, it's been a while since I last played so I don't know about the newest additions to the game, that's why I would like to hear your advice.

These are my stats:


I have 0 gear, but 17mill cash to waste
I've also done all quests except the latest 5 or so.

Now I always wanted to try maxed boxing, what would be the fastest/best way to achieve 99 defence? All tips welcome. places/gear/food/extra info,...

if you want to bot and or do it legit, i'de go with afking bandits, or you could do armored zombies. I think those are 2 of the fastest ways. (or at least the ways i'v used and friends of mine have used) Bandits are very easy as you can stay there forever with enough noted food

get a guthans set and use defensive and you'll be good, or if you dont want to repair armor just use a whip and some rune with a nezzy d boots and str amy or fury.

 

For the fastest method in game you need to be able to acces the dominion tower and have completed 'Blood runs deep'.

If you meet these requirements, go to the dominion tower and do a couple of floor untill you have killed the double dagganoth creatures (these guys heal eachother which makes it very nice exp/hour). Once you killed these you can setup a match with these guys to get the best exp/hr in-game at this moment.

(This comment is probably not making any sence at all if you have never entered the domion tower)

 

if you want it fast, do chinning ( defence combat mode)
over 230k/h, but i don't think 17m are enough for it lol

are you botting? if so so, do easy moss giants (lvl 41 i think), i also botted 99 defence there, about 50k/h, and they don't hit hard, you don't need that much food for it

 

This is definitely the best way. I'll explain briefly how to do it.

Get full void (if you have it), extremes or overloads and a lot of prayer potions. Bring a rapier or vine whip and a Bandos Godsword. Start a freestyle match against the Dagannoth Sentinels, and then start attacking only one of them. Use the BGS special whenever you can to reduce his defense; eventually it will bring his def all the way to 0 because you don't end up killing the sentinel. Be sure to attack the sentinel on "stage right" (right side when you are looking at them), and just attack away. If you leave on Turmoil and Soul Split, you'll never have to worry about dying because his defense is so low you'll always hit and always be healed.

EDIT: I just realized you don't have Soul Split, which is fine but you'll need to bring in a lot of rocktails instead, and you'll have to eventually terminate the match because you ran out of food. Perhaps you can switch in a Bunyip for some extra healing points, and switch to Guthan's set for healing whenever you need? Guthan's is very low DPS, but his defense is 0 so you should still have no trouble keeping health up. Just keep on Protect from Magic instead of SS.

 

If you put a handicap on for no death or whatever it is, I can't really remember.. Does that eliminate having to pray? Or does it only last for one potential death?

Also, are there any scripts for this?

Honestly, I've never tried it with any handicaps. I had SS and enough prayer gear that I lasted over 3 hours before banking.

AFAIK there are no scripts, but it's extremely easy to get one made because it's so simple. Perhaps an AIO combat script can be set up to target the dagannoth sentinel and do specials and stuff.

Is a script on PowerBot for it.
(Haven't tried it though)

There are a few handicaps you could use to your advantage, such as poison at start and use the poison reversal aura.
