Anyone else notice?

When people quit on Sythe, and post their farewells and typically talk about scamming being their reason for leaving, has anyone else noticed those people log back in continuously afterwards unless they ask for a ban? Strange...

 

Probably, wouldn't be surprised most people usually feel the need to scam after they have been scammed.

 

That happens because it's all about attention and they want to see who really cares.

 

Not to come off looking like a A**, but I made a thread the other day telling people I was quitting because of a scammer. It wasn't because I wanted attention either, it was because a close friend of mine had scammed me and obviously it had upset me being a friend I thought I could trust.

Shouldn't just assume mate.

I agree. I saw the thread, and multiple threads like it. I just don't understand after making you're farewell why you would even bother to come back to check it after quitting for getting scammed, let alone stick around however much longer. I feel if someone quits on the community, they should at least ask for a ban.

 

people who post a thread about leaving sythe always come back or never leave. It's gotta be all about them, here's a song for those people.

They don't come here thinking they're going to get scammed. They come here to buy/sell whatever it may be. It's just anger and retaliation. They will come back, and hopefully are more careful.

On topic, I just feel that if frustration gets them so mixed up that they are willing to leave our community, they shouldn't be able to come back and pretend they didn't just freak out. If Sythe.org were my girlfriend, and I got up and walked out on her after throwing a fit, you would think my girlfriend(Sythe, in this case) wouldn't look my way if I came back pretending it had never happened.

 

Funny how people find the need to bitch about such things.

 

They're numerous guides and stickies in each market section concerning scams in that section. No one who can read and comprehend should get scammed. It is on them if they don't read the guides and follow through.

besides, it happens to a lot of people when they first start out. My first time selling rsgp I got scammed for $98. Yeah it frustrated me (even more so because I neglected to take screenshots of the trade/msn convo), but I eventually got over it, kept going about my business, made more money, and never felt the need to complain about it or blame the site.

Learn from your mistakes.

This is exactly my point of this whole thread.


Everyone should be reading the stickies in the markets. You get scammed, don't freak, don't blame the site, and don't run away. If you keep you're cool and make effort to be a better trader to not get scammed, you will be helping the community.

However, the people that blame the community for such things should just stay away, because obviously safe trading methods aren't even worth trying to them, even after losing money/rsgp/an account to a very trusted "friend".

 

Well, I wouldn't say they need to stay away, rather they should learn from the experience so that it doesn't happen to them again

 

I meant that. A better way of putting it is the people who are close minded enough to NOT learn from their experiences should stay away from this community. We should strive to have a very open minded community, and looking at not just how well the market is going but also the off-topic sections like SFA shows just how open minded and intellegent our community can really be. Nobody should be stepping on toes to turn our hard-earned reputation around on us.

 

Well the only reason someone makes an Introduction/farewell thread is because they want people to read it. There not writing them for their health, so yes, people like that are asking for attention.

 

Seems like this thread is just becoming spam?? Suggest we close it maybe?
