Anyone else likes History?

I'm a teacher and geek of History and was wondering if there are any other members out here who share my interest in the subject.
If so, do you have a favorite time period/happening?
Excited to read some stories.

I only read and study history of my home country (Finland) and the wars with the Russians Cold war is my favourite.

 

Winter war! a very very spectucalar happening that changed the way of warfare alot, such bravism from the finnish people

 

probably most interested of the winter war and simo häyhä (finnish sniperist)

 

simo häyhä aka the White Death with 705 CONFIRMED kills, deadliest sniper in history and probably ever will be!

 

I minored in history in college. I was really fascinated with US History during highschool.

The time period that fascinated me the most was always the great depression era. I think it may have been my HS Teacher that got me really fascinated in US History, his teaching style was incredibly engaging.

Yeah, Sad part is that it looks like he stopped being at teacher sometime in 2014 after 18 years and is now a home inspector?!?! Weird..
