Anyone else have a gambling addiction to RuneScape gambling sites?

I had an extremely bad gambling addiction for 4 years on real poker sites. I got myself permanently banned on them by making an account and calling them right away to ban me and never let me make another account again. I’m banned on every gambling site in my country. Then the most unfortunate thing happened, I was browsing runescape videos on YouTube and came across one on staking (which I don’t care for, never staked in my life.) but it was a stake in the billions and the person who everyone can guess, gave their site and I checked it out. Well needless to say they had poker And basically all my gold in game went to it. There’s no one to call and the owner said he ip banned me which was bs all my accounts still work and I’ve been playing on them.

Whats the point of even playing RuneScape? I spend hours getting gold just to deposit it and lose it. I don’t know what to do at this point. Any suggestions? I just want to play RuneScape before I discovered this site...

 

Find a website blocker.

I'm going to come clean here and say I myself have lost several whole Bitcoin on Roobet since I created an account in May. GA or other hotlines that I've tried provide generic advice which I ignored.

I know what you're experiencing and it your sense of accomplishment all but goes out the window. Why grind for gear when I can just drop x amount for a t bow? Or I just chuck 600m and get myself half a t bow for free? etc. etc.

My best suggestion is if the website is unscrupulous and will not ban your account, you will have to take matters into your own hands.

Find yourself a website blocking program that uses another password to allow access. Generate a random password, set it on that program and throw away the password or give it to a trusted friend to retain.

No one can help you. Only you can help yourself.

You just have to not indulge in the gambling games. Also engaging in black markets buying currency should be avoided as well. Games like MMO's aren't meant to cheat at they're meant to grind over time.

I would call your IP and request for them to block sites you know you spend a lot / gamble money on.

Bro, i stake on unescape every day the games ruined for me..
I have a gambling addiction as well, legit almost every 100 i obtain, after expenses, goes straight to a real casino or chucking at the sand casino its bad.
Ive even sold assets to gamble and its fucked up, ive lost even my car recently, im down well over 8k in the passed 4 months.

 

If you still have gambling problems, more specifically with runescape. I recommend uninstalling it for a little bit. I had a small problem with a gambling app but i just uninstalled it after i saw how much i had already wasted (wasnt much to care for but it was building up)

 

While getting the websites to ban you, that's just a temporary hot fix. The root of the problem is you. You can keep getting yourself banned on websites after losing to them, and then you'll eventually just stumble across another website or means to gamble because they are EVERYWHERE - especially on this side of the internet.

Using blocker apps and stuff won't fix your issue, or atleast it will temporarly. Don't let a game affect your REAL life bro. I have a friend irl with that exact same addiction ever since we've played RS for the first time together in like 2006.

My solution? If you REALLY enjoy the game but want to fix that problem, purposedly get your account banned and start an ironman brother, you will still be enjoying the game with no chance of gambling your bank away every 2 weeks.
