anyone do robot programming with C/C++?

I do a robotics team competition (FIRST) and I use RobotC (a C gui)

how many of you C programmers have tried programming robots to do stuff?

wondering how different the concepts are.

 

What arethose competitions about? you program a bot to do what kind of stuff?

I'm doing robot programming at uni and we have annual robot competitions. I have written code in c mainly used for microcontrollers/microprocessors to control robots we have built. It is great fun!

 

We used NXC to program lego bricks in my intro to robotics class
