Sneaker Heads of Sythe - Show your collection/or lack there of

I'm curious in seeing the members of Sythe's sneaker collections... or your single warn down pair of shoes you've had for 4 years. As others would probably classify us as basement dwellers or mindless zombies, I'm wanting to find out how many of you are satisfied in calling yourselves 'sneaker heads'. As for my self, I started my collection just over two years ago when I landed a job at Champs Sports. My collection is 18 pairs strong and counting.

Those Retro 4s are a solid pair of J's, gotta love the 4s.

Yes sir. The funny thing is, my 4's are the only pair of shoes I will refuse to wear outdoors even in dry, sunny conditions. I've worn them hundreds of times and they still look fresh out of the box.

 

I'm not a sneaker head in the slightest so I have like 1 pair of timbs, 1 pair of these red jordans from a while ago, 1 paid of red nikes, and then some old black basketball shoes (as you can see I have no clue what they're called).

Just wondering; how do you really get into this kind of hobby or collecting, whatever you wanna call it. My roommate from freshman year and 2 current suite mates are huge sneaker heads and I've always wanted to kinda get into it.

 

Well for me, I was just like you until I started working retail at Champs. You either got to develop the liking on your own or have it influenced upon you like I did. Everyone I work with is addicted to sneakers.

 

Jordan retro oreos, I like those a lot

 

A pair of custom-fit Lucchese boots, a pair of Dan Post boots, a pair of twisted-X boots, two pairs of Justin boots, and two pair of Ariat boots.
Also, a few pairs of cheap flip flops and a 4-year old pair of slippers I've never worn that were a gift for Christmas. I don't do tennis shoes, my feet are too wide and the only ones that fit my feet look like they were designed by a couple of homos, with flamboyant colors and ugly designs. Plus I just don't like the look of them, especially moreso nowadays.

Best part of it all is that several of the boots I've had for a few years, one pair of boots is REALLY old(15 year old hand-downs), and they'll probably last me for several decades to come without going out of style or falling apart....much unlike tennis shoes.

Is there a reason to collect them? Like is it just a hobby to have them? or do you buy to sell lateron?

Isn't that first pair a $1,600 pair of shoes?

 

lord, I hope nobody in their right mind would give over 40 dollars for that first pair. That's the most retarded, hideous pair of shoes on the entire list....and IMO every one of them was ugly.

No more or less of a hobby than scrapbooking or drawing. Sometimes if the price is right I will resell, but is for the most part a collection. The first pair I bought for retail price when they released. I haven't looked at the price of them lately but I highly doubt they're any more than $600 resale.

I just wear converse hitops and skate shoes, normally Etnies. I live and die in the single pairs of each I own and replace them when they break.

 

How much of a discount do you get working at Champs? Seems like most of your paycheck would have to go towards these shoes unless you get a nice discount.
