    Ntldr?

Got back from my trip earlier this morning, and as a welcome home present one of my computers popped a message up "No NTLDR", when I started it up. Can anyone inform me on how to fix this? I would love for someone not to go to Google to copy and paste some long page of text, but to shorten it into their own words. I have tried many of the things Google lists, and to no avail.

It means a boot file(s) which are needed to start up Windows are either missing or corrupted, in most cases the only and easiest way is to just reformat and reinstall Windows from scratch.

I bought the computer from Walmart, and it came with Windows 7 already installed, no disc. Can you pm me a link where I can get a downloadable version of Windows 7, if there is one? Also thank you so very much. I honestly thought I was going to have to buy another hard-drive.

I don't think the hard drive is the problem. The computer may already have it on a partition if there is no disk. If there isn't one, then your best bet is to just re-download Windows 7.

Somewhere on your PC case there should be a label that has Windows 7 on it and a serial key with it. Don't tell me the serial key, just tell me what Windows 7 version it is. You will need to burn it onto a disk after downloading it.

It should look something like this:

You'll need a Windows 7 disk to do it. If you don't have one, you can borrow one off a friend or download an ISO and burn it to a disk. If you have the disk then it's relatively easy to go from there.

I don't recommend reinstalling it just to replace or repair a windows file..

You can easily use the repair function from the CD for this and keep all your programs and files etc.
