Any one have this Virus before?

MG Tool- Fake anti-virus system.



I had this pop up the other day, i was running RSbuddy for abud * Was stun/alching for him*- Script by code.


The only two items i had pulled up was rsbuddy client, and this forum. i just Watched a youtube vid a member had posted * Was viewng the embadded version not on YT.* I Watch like 30 secs of vid scrolled down responded to thread, and as soon as i click the option to return to the sub forums the thread was in, this virus popped up.

I havn't had a Virus in prob 7 years? give or take.

So before you start saying Well you prob had something else up, or you where on a different website etc etc...


No stop right there. I assure you i had nothing else up.


I have Bit defender it only took about 10 minutes to run a virus scan, and delete the corrupted file * Which i had to do manually b/c bit def wouldn't do it*

Just wondering is all...

 

I fixed it on my friends laptop, but I don't know how he got it. I hate those fake AV's, even though they're relatively easy to remove.
