    just made the 1000 pound club at school

    Finally made it. I wanted to make it last time, but i was about 50-60 pounds off.
    I told i was good because im just a freshman. Im 6'3, ~240 pounds. But anyways, heres what i got this week:
    Deadlift: 495 pounds
    Bench: 185
    Squat: 325
    What do you guys think? And, if you know any way to lose a couple pounds, let me know. Im trying to lose some fat as well. :)

    Sweet dead left, pretty good squat....but what happened on bench bro? Those numbers just don't seem right, like not proportionate. I mean if you just wanted to get the thousand and call it a day but you went 5lbs over anyway...I know plate math can get funky but you know what I mean. I would have smashed the 1000 with what you could actually bench.

    Keep lifting and eat correctly and the fat will turn into muscle.

    I don't know what it is. Maybe technique, maybe something else. I've never had a high bench. Any tips

    When I train bench I mix up with the following:

    Full movement (Barbell goes down 1-2inch from chest and then extend all the way to arms lock)

    Part movement (I keep the barbell in the middle of the two points, doing half reps so to speak)(really kills the muscle)

    Ohh that sucks I'm sorry man! I don't think I can really tell you anything worth while without actually seeing you bench though! Do your shoulders or anything other than your chest hurt you after you bench?

    Nice job, man! Just remember to stay balanced in your lifting, and don't let pride get the best of you. I've seen too many people get seriously hurt because of pride. Also don't forget to keep working on your core, not only does it look good, but it supports the rest of your body.

    If you're shoulders and biceps hurt from benching that is directly the cause for your lack of strength when it comes to BP. When you have the bar above you, instead of holding it right over your neck, lower it towards your chest/nipples. Less strain on your shoulders because if you keep up with how your form is you're going to end up blowing your rotator cuff. FORM IS EVERYTHING. Form>Weight.
