Scammers exsits any time, any where. As i know, Scammers even exsit in OMMS & Highly Trusted Guy (What it stand for? If he will do scam too, there is no need to give him this rank).

I am new on Sythe, i got scammed by twice.

    1. Went first for 10m rsgp, lost 8 aud.
    2. Went first for 200m rsgp, lost 140$, a Highly Trusted Guy did scam

Talked with other members, i got news, some OMM scammed on big amount gold transfer, i dont know the detail!

I wonder if there any actions can be taken to avoid or reduce these things happen.

    1. OMM or Highly Trusted Guy should hand in $$$ to Forum first. These $$$ will be return to OMM in the future. Once OMM or HTG do scam, they will lose the money they handed in!

    2. There should be some trade restrict on the trade. Like the restrict of trade amount. For Big amount gold trade, you should hand in some $$$ to Forum. Ofc, you will get your $$$$ back if there is nothing happen!

    3. Lower OMM fee(Less fee, but more trade, OMM will get more in fact), and everytrade will via OMM, except the traders both agree with trade personally!

In a work, hope forum will take a action protect buyers' and sellers' safety.

The OMM Fees are what ever the OMM wishes to use. Most go around 10% but it's their own choice what they want to charge.

If you get scammed, then fucking report it in "Report a Scammer" section.
    Common sense requires nothing.
    Use it.

    1. You could've ATLEAST used a free MM for such small trade.
    2. You could've taken screenshots. Thorpe was hacked but if you had screenshots of msn logs he had to pay you back (as he is paying back someone else who also got scammed)

MM fees are time based for me. I usually charge according to irritation levels of some members. Even refund to people who act mature.

Dingo has summed it up in a nutshell.

Official MiddleMen have applied and been voted on by the staff to have a position. You can't always know whether someone will scam you or not. Just because they have an OMM rank or a Highly trusted rank doesn't mean they will not perform malicious activity.

There is really no way to catch them at this point and time. But to reduce the scamming population you need to record and take screen shots of every trade you do regardless if its a OMM or not. But do not tell them your recording or taking shots, Sorry to say.
