It's good for a first, but the border and weird orange glow doesn't look good. Try blending the guy a bit better, not with an outer glow, but by adding some colour or effects to make him fit in a bit better. Keep it up

 

Any ideas to make it better?

 

I love it how everyone who is a beginner always puts a blow on their renders..
It is the funniest fail ever.

Try reading some signature based tutorials and learning some techniques, all I see you have done is background image, render and text.
(Oh and the funny glow.)

Nice my first sig blowed sack. yours actually looks good

 

Try working a little bit on smudging and blurring.

The render itself looks a bit overblurred (?) But still good for your first signature.
