Hey everyone, I'm pretty sure you've seen this sort of rant before, and what am I but a newbie with 150 posts that joined a couple of months ago? Well, read on:

Ever since I've been on sythe, the only section that I noticed was taken seriously was the Something for all section (Mostly the post starters were serious, you'd usually get a reply from a guy who is spamming subtly by saying meaningless shit like "oh, really? I never knew that!" Or that guy who posts repeating the idea of the 10 idiots before him). The rest were full of SPAM, stupid flame wars and random nonsense.

I wouldn't know the old community of Sythe, but I am assuming it was different than this. Also, I'm not saying the mods are doing a bad job, they are doing what they can, but the sheer number of scammers and retards on this forum is scary. I've done 5 Successful trades on Sythe, and have never been scammed, but I've wasted no less than 3-5 hours talking to the bullcrappers and liars until I met the legit traders.

Why does it have to be this way? I've thought up of ways that Sythe can improve:

Make signing-up a request instead of simply email verification. Where the people who join are checked with previous IP adresses of BANNED scammers. You can also add a little "interview" part where people should be interviewed for their maturity on IRC or MSN or some sort of chat. If they fail to prove their maturity they are declined. Sometimes you can tell a scammer from a legit guy from the way he talks.

Here are a few ideas of what you DON'T want on sythe:
Need a free account!
Selling Kids Ranqe (MAXED OUT PURE)

If I started posting the rest of the similar threads You'd only have the "Sythe rules" thread as an exception from my list.

If you have ever been scammed on sythe and agree, please click "I Agree".

Do not flame/spam. If you are a 10-13-year-old, go away. I don't need your nonsense. I WILL report spammers/flamers, constructive criticism is very welcome though.

If someone had to check through every single registration request. They would have to look through almost 500 a day. Sorry to burst your bubble. Highly impossible and in conventional. Also the websites activity would drop dramatically.

I agree, but these fags bring sythe views, which pay for the site.

No man, you both don't understand what I mean. Okay, look at Sythe.org at the moment, it has what, 136,000 users. Let's assume that 100,000 of them are active, and let's assume that ONLY 50,000 of them are 100% legit (this is just an assumption). You'd keep all of the current members, and do applications on a daily basis where ONLY 20-30 people are accepted per day. So what if the website's activity drops by 1/4th? All of the current members are staying.

EDIT: This way, people will value their Sythe accounts more, and scam less. It's not "impossible or in conventional". This actually makes more sense than having a community where a scammer that is about to get banned creates another account right before he gets banned, and gets away with stealing X million GP.

Yeah? I'm 13 and I'm not an idiot, I don't need someone like you to judge me and stereotype everyone else in my age group.

People who joined are checked of their IP Addresses?

I suggested a "Stealth Mod" be created to deal with such things.

I had the Thread locked, however, because you cannot suggest such a thing.

I do agree that IPs must be checked, because Ban Evaders would be removed immediately.

Maybe read over my Thread, and have a comment of what you thought about my idea. =\

Sythe.org has about 10k active users, those 10k logging in within the last month.

Sythe is a beat-up, rusted-out, shell of some ancient barely running automobile, riding on the worn-out rubber tires that we know as moderators.

But she still drives 55 on the highway.

Things aren't getting any better from where I'm sitting.
