Disable automatic smilies mid-word

Heya!

Recently, with the new live: skypenames, a problem also occuring in Steam digit sales, is even more annoying.
Every time we type a colon followed by an o, p, d and other shortcuts to Smilies it's pretty impossible to get rid of.
People are vurnerable to imposters who have a high Skype-search ranking for the names if you leave a space between the colon and the next letter.

My suggestion on possible fixes:

• Change all smiley shortcuts to include a space in front of the colon. This way no live: skypename/steam ID will ever get a smiley mid-name.
• Disable smiley shortcuts altogether
• Find another way to just not have smileys mid-word/mid-name.

Examples of what's going wrong right now:

Add Ollie_M on skype: livellie_m
Steam digit: STEAM_234:0
etc etc.

Support, it was annyoing me for a quite while while checking forms on my OMMing thread and sending PMs, good my skype ID is live:zuzel14 not live:d123 or something like that -,-

There's already option to disable them but automatic disabling in just mid-words would be better as we still use smileys when we need them

 

I agree. It would be an easy fix if you can just add a space to the front.

From Richard: using [plain]and[/plain] around these instances will fix the problem - nothing further to be done.
