Ancient Curses - thoughts

I am not a big fan of rs3, but I am a fan of rs2 pre eoc
I enjoyed both 2004-2007 days but also enjoyed the game until like early 2011

One big update that I really miss is Ancient Curses
what do you think? any chance seeing turmoil and soul split in osrs?

 

I don't think so. We'll probably get Seren spells/prayers before that. They're polling Priff and Elves soon.

 

I hope they add ancient curses. However, the chance of it happening is very slim.

I think they should be added just need to suggest it somewhere

Because a meaningful portion of the playerbase are stubborn af.

Want chaotic rapier? No, it doesn't fit osrs.
Want a cheap copy of chaotic rapier aka ghrazi rapier? Hell yea!! Best suggestion of the century!

 

I wouldn't mind. Had a chaotic zerker with curses back in the day. It all went to waste.

 

I don't like this idea & I'm going to tell you why.

Ancient curses provide the healing prayer, and Turmoil.

The current state of PvP you can hit high enough, honestly.

If they make Turmoil come into the game they should make it PvM only and require very hefty requirements for an end-game PvM
melee bonus for extremely high leveled players.

We don't need to see 88's with AGS.

 

The only thing that worries me about the reintroduction of curses is power creep and how it can impact various areas of the game. As an extension to that, I worry about changes to existing content as a result of such an addition (based on player feedback, Jagex's perception of the state of play, etc).

I actively used and enjoyed curses back in the day - don't get me wrong. I'm just not sure that them coming into OSRS would provide more benefit than detriment.

 

Turmoil in OSRS and you're looking at almost one-hitting someone with an AGS spec in PvP, it's to much.

 

I think that if they add it back we will actually be able to get harder content

 

We'd get way harder bosses.

I just hope they add stealing creation lol.

Adding priff to OSRS would be such a fail like it was in RS3...separating higher tier players from lower tiered....

 

Na this would be a step too far to overpowered prayers

Alot of good discussion on this topic but I think my opinion still stands.
