    Range/2h for sure.
You can shoot arrows pretty rapidly and your 2h hits almost instantly if you pull it out and spam click your opponent.

This is extremely controversial. it honestly depends on what your doing. I got a pure thats level 55, 83 str/soon to be 82 range. you probably automatically think that i range/2h, but thats not the case. it really depends on how you like ko-ing people. range/2h can be good if you use the 2h correctly, i.e. delaying it, making it less noticeable, compared to scim/2h, where the switch to the 2h is obvious. i think scim/2h is a better choice if you really dont care to do much besides eat and click them, and 2h when they get low hp, which usually guarantees a ko if they get redbar'd. range/2h takes some skill, so its really up to you in the end. both methods will guarantee kills though.

I would say scim/2h. I've noticed a lot of people switching over to scim/2h at about cmb 50/55. If your still not sure, try both for a bit. Which ever one works best use

    Definitely range 2h...

The DPS is higher for range + if you time your 2h switch right (not hard at all) you can "double hit"

Considering you hit like 15's with addies and around 25-30 with 2h, you could KO someone with 400+lp. Most people don't eat until around 300 if you let the fight go for a while without using 2h.

What everyone else said, range 2h. However you could try to train a bit of magic to spice things up, doesn't effect your Combat + is really easy to train.

    Range/2h in my opinion.
At higher lvl you'll meet more def accounts and I find range hitting much more accurate than does the scimmy into the def. But that's just my opinion.

    I sw/range guild...
anyway, even though alot of these people are saying range/2h.. i really think scim/2h is much easier for getting ko's. say you are scimming someone, and they are at 230 hp lets say... if you scim a 200+, they only have 30 hp left, and can only eat once more, to 180 hp for this example, before your 2h hits them, which almost guarantees a ko

^This. The only problem I would say is the delay from switching. With range/2h it's almost instant, scim/2h takes a lot longer. If you get your opponent extremely low like in the example above, I would say you should be fine with the delay.

I personally like range at a low level. Since the food (swordfish) heals a lot considering the usual amount of hp I rather have a higher dps.

For example, let's say your opponent has 50hp, and is using swordfish. Swordfish heals 14, 28% of his total hp to begin with. If that person has 85hp, only 16%. Quite a big difference.

So having a weapon that takes a lot of damage often at a lower level is better than have a slower weapon even if it does a little more damage. That delay allows your opponent to heal a lot higher percentage of his total hp.
