As much as I think guns are important to America, we need to seriously review some things like gun shows.

 

FUCK THE NRA! They are getting paid from americans killing each other! they are the scum of the earth and hope they all burn in hell. There is no use at all for high capacity guns. There only use it to kill other PEOPLE. The american government is not trying to disarm you you fucking whack job conspiracy theorist!

 

You're just as bad as the people who blindly support guns, you know that? For the last decade crime across the board has been going DOWN in the united states. Only in 2012 did some crimes increase slightly.

There is obviously another reason that happened, banning guns isn't looking for the root cause of why crime increased in 2012 for America.

 

NO one is trying to BAN you fucking guns! Close the dumb ass gun show loophole. screen people for criminal records/mental disorders. Put a high tax on on bullets and stop selling assault riffles! I'm sure you can defend yourself just fine with a 9mm or a shotgun.

I already joined this awhile ago. But I really do not see why they would take out guns away because the bad people that with kill people are going to be the people with the guns since they are criminals and don't follow the law and the good Americans that aren't killers might get their guns taken away, which doesn't make since. Then Obama won't let armed security gaurdes in schools to protect our kids but he let's his kids have armed security guards in their schools, his kids really aren't that much important than our kids.

@lame, the bullets are already really expensive as they are, and I love shooting assault rifles, but I do not have any mental disorder or anything else. And we already are doing background checks. I just bought a 9mm and it took 2 hours to buy it cause they were doing a quick background check on me, but before I could just walk in, pay, walk out.

Except you still haven't really replied to what I said. Despite the fact that crimes across the board have been decreasing (including murder!) the proper response to the recent spike is to ban assault rifles and tax bullets? lol.

I agree with tighter restrictions on gun shows and maybe even licensing similar to that of car licensing in the US. But that's more to make people at least basically trained in their weapons and to get rid of an avenue for criminals to obtain guns.

 

do you know how easy it is to fool mental disorder tests? it's easy trust me, i took one to be allowed to work at a nuc powerplant.

also your a idiot, once they take one constitutional right away, they'll start working on more until we are a communist country



also are anyone of you even old enough to buy a gun? you can't just walk in and grab a gun and leave, you have to get a background track and register it with atf etc.

 

Murder rates might be going down but its still around 10k gun deaths per year. Even if it is going down its probably not going down by much. I agree that this is not the solution to trying to decrease crime(its a start). The solution for me would be to try and reduce the level of poverty. I think the amount of poverty directly effects crime. As well as get better social services, UNIVERSAL healthcare and better public education.

EDIT: Also the media needs to stop all this fear mongering.

How can a gun kill someone? It's an object, it requires someone pulling the trigger to do anything.

If guns kill people than virtually anything can kill anyone.

 

Lol i understand people kill people, but when you have almost no laws against any kind of wepons or who can purchase them...then you have a problem.

What about home made bombs? Should we have all the supplies made harder to purchase?

 

We also have to consider that not all homicide deaths are MURDERS, I'm sure quite a few are excusable and manslaughter homicides.

 

Well im done here. While i live in a nice safe country not riddled with crazed gun owners i can feel safe going to see a movie without getting a bullet to the back of the head.
