Ambient Music - any fans?

I'm a huge fan of ambient music but I rarely can find others who enjoy it as much as I do. As such, I've never been able to find people to share and suggest in this genre.

The genre itself is quite large, personally I'm a fan of the space ambient sub-genre purely because I haven't been able to explore more of it.

I'm sure it isn't for everyone (or most people in my experience,) but hopefully there may be some fans. If you have any experience of it, or happen to enjoy it, please do let me know!

 

I share a similar passion . I often don't got a day or so without listening to one of "Ambient"'s amazing youtube mixes/new music.

But its one hell of a genre

 

never really tried to listen to ambient until i saw this and its really relaxing especially when youre kinda fucked up

 

This is my definition of ambient music 2017. Slow paced love songs talking about heartbreak when your heart is whole. How much more peaceful can it get

 

Probably the most upbeat ambient ill listen to and I'm often not one for vocals. But this gem is my tune for the summer, no idea how I found it

Thin Air

Spotify seems to be the only platform it's on

 

Those who like ambient, check out this little-known Youtuber who takes theme songs from games like Diablo and slows them down like 1000%, resulting in some very trippy and relaxing atmospheric music.

'Stretched Music'

 

The ambient feels are my favourite because they're the most powerful. I find that this kind of music is the only kind that can put you into 'endless melancholy'.

This tune crept back into my suggested and thank god, forgot about how unreal it is. The chord progression is just too good:

 

my wife and i listen to alittle while doing yoga but not daily as far as inside the house or in the car. i'll have to get you the playlist when she gets home, @Vlad do you have spotify? i could send it there, you may like some of it

 

I've seen the seaboard a lot, most of the playing styles were not my type of thing, but certain sections of this video are utterly unbelievable. Bold for the fav movements.

You might recognise this from Coldplay's Life in Technicolor melody/as the hidden track on the end of Death and All His Friends. However the melody, originally written by John Hopkins is unbelievable and his own song containing it is perfect. (The escapist extended is also a nice middle ground between both Coldplay's and John's pieces).

Because it's light/relaxing like neoclassical. Sometimes don't really want to listen to heaps of drops.
