Tattoo Advice

Hey

Well Im turning 18 in around 3 weeks and my mother ( The Kind person she is ) said she will pay for me to have any tattoo i want.

Now i already have tattoo's and i know what they feel like and the lot.

Anyway im getting a sleeve tattoo but i was thinking of getting the word "Believe" On my shin bone but i was wondering what you think of having words such as "Believe" on lads, im not sure why but i always thought of it in a "Girly" way as stupid as it sounds.

Also my sleeve is going to be tradition japanese with hannya masks and so on

Also intrested in your tattoo pictures if any of you have tattoos ?

also going to bulgaria soon so if any of you have been whats it like

 

I have several tat's my point of view on words is the same on every other tattoo out there, do not get it if you aren't comfortable with looking at it every day for the rest of your life.

Sleeves are a different story, I would not get any tat that you can't cover with a regular company uniform, you never know what job opportunity might fall through because of a poorly placed tattoo.

 

If you need to be asking ideas for a tattoo you don't need to be getting one.

Exactly the same concept of an idea.

It's a tattoo, it's your body. What others think is besides the point, its about whatever you like and what means the most to you.

 

Well either way, the word "believe" cropt up during a session of hypnotherapy a few days ago and has stuck with me since, it kind of gives me motviation ( Not many things do ) but its just a key word right now in my life.

And as for the sleeve well i have a big tattoo on my calf covering most of the side and i want a bigger one

Not a fan of small tattoo's. go big or go home

 

I totaly get what your saying, but what i ment is do you think getting a word such as "Believe" is a girl(ish) kinda of tattoo.

I Dont get tattoo's so other people like them but at the same time i would hate to walk around with a tattoo and people thinking wow how gay is he lol

 

When I turn18 (Another year sadly) I'm planning on getting my last name probaly across my chest (Sounds dumb I know but I've seen it done before and it looks legit as long as the lettering is good)
If I ever have children I'll be getting their names somewhere on my body as well.
Your moms name would be a pretty good idea (Something I want to do as well lol) I know my mom wouldn't take me to get tatted up hehe.

I personally think Believe would look good (Also because it has a good meaning). Have you had any other ideas to incorporate the word as in "Always Believe" etc like some quotes?

Quite honestly, I don't understand why people get Japanese things tattooed on their body if they're not Japanese. It seems off to me. I don't want another culture stained into my skin, I want mine.

As far as the believe tattoo on your calf, I think you should find a better place to put it and it'd be fine.

 

Dont use any foreign language in the tattoos it looks stupid lol, i honestly dont see the point of getting tattoos unless its something your passionate about. DO not get something likes skulls and flames that you think is cool because i laugh at fools who do that shit.

Believe on the shin, id think about that one, if its just the word and means nothing to you then dont get it. I dont see the problem of that word being tattooed on a man or lady doesn't matter?

 

Put something that you can look up to for the rest of your life. Like your mom's name maybe.

 

How about: Don't get one.

They look nasty and start to wrinkle when you get old and are for D bags.

Maybe they are some kind of weeaboo or maybe they just like the lettering.

I'd personally get something done on my back or on my arms. The sleeve idea sounds cool.

Never get names tattoo'd on you other than your kids.

 

I would rather put something in my mind than on my body

i wouldnt worry about masculinity issues.
i would worry about regretting it when your older and your youthful idealism has worn off.

it is cool to some people and people like tattoos like that but........ to me it jus tseems incredibly superficial.

 

Full sleeve tattoos looks horrible in my opinion.

Looks stupid as years goes on, and will limit you to certain jobs if they require you to wear a t shirt or something.
