    Keylogger? wat?

Im really curious about this, and it has been running around in my head forever,
No i do not intend to create a Keylogger since i have no fucking (Excuse my language) clue on how to actually code c++

But, you know, most keyloggers require that you are port forwarded and have to setup a buttload of stuff.

How about, if you could create a keylogger, that uploads info in a zip file or so to a webiste? Such as megaupload, rapidshare whatever, is that possible?

Example: "Youtube - OMFG LOL FREE STEM GEMEZ, CRACKED STEM CLIENT ROFL"

Wich is keylogger disguised as a cracked steam client, when they install it, it plants they keylogger or whatever during the installation (But the installation failed because its a fake client, teehee)

So they give up and logs into there original Steam account to play some legal games for an example.

Keylogger detects, is coded to upload it to rapidshare with a name that you choose, so you decide to go check if any morons took the bait.

"Rapidsearch: <insert name of file here>"

    Find and download the info.

IS THIS POSSIBLE? Sound like hell of a coding needing to be done there, but is it achieveable?

Wat. You would actually have set up more and the coder of the keylogger would actually have a harder time doing it your way, the end result really inefficient.

So much of your post makes so little sense. Why would you have a keylogger server upload the logs to a rapidshare when it can just send them in a .txt file to an email client. All you're talking about is binding "keylogger.exe" with "steam.exe" which is quite easy.

And Jack Geddes1 that isn't called phishing.

No need for rapidshare, you could easily use mail.
    And yes, it is possible.

I think he means the part where the logs are emailed to the person who planted the keylogger.

I feel obligated to point out, that rapidshare is pretty shitty. Lets see, if I were to go about making a "keylogger", I'd either host a crappy PHP script that basically uploaded the log using GET/POST. Simpler then what you're suggesting, no need to zip, etc.

    Alternatively:

    Reverse TCP connection.

If either you or the host is setup to accept connections on the network, you can just create a connection and then whatever data is sent is back and forth is at your discretion. Either way all this stuff is pretty easy. But I think the thing on most peoples minds right now is, why in gods name would anyone use a keylogger in this day and age.

Basically keyloggers are very very obvious to anyone with a half-assed antivirus. Sure you could program your own, set up system wide hooks for all the keys and record them and never have an anti-virus stop you but god that's so stupid. If you have that much talent put it to better uses.

Exploit the server, not the users.

    ANY QUESTIONS?

Keyloggers don't require you port forward, only RATs and botnet clients require you to do so. When you are keylogged, your logs are upload to some type of server whether it be an HTTP server the hacker set up or even just his e-mail... No port forwarding required..
