Allow users to sell/buy hacks for steam games?

Well your assuming extremely wrong.

Banned from MW2 twice for hacking, hacked countless times on F2P shooters.

What trouble would it cause? If you think people are going to confuse phishing, and cracking with aimbots & chams, then call it a different section. Call it the Unfair Advantage section for all i care.

If they cant determine the difference between aimbots, and programs that give you paid stuff for free, they shouldn't be here anyway. There really is no argument to why this shouldn't be added to the site.

If you guys dont like the idea of having people post FREE hacks, then make it to where the threads in the section have to be filtered before their posted, its not hard. Require virus scans for downloads, or tell people their downloading at their own risk.

 

FYI: "Hacks" for shooter games are just bots or cheats. Runescape bots "hack" the client in the same way a shooter cheat "hacks" the game. There is absolutely no difference. This is a cheating site and disallowing cheats is plain stupid.

You folks trying to compare RS booting to hacking are generalizing so hard you might find yourself talking about Torrenting if you go on much longer.

Stop generalizing, examine both things for the types of effects they have and what they really are. Stop playing dumb.

FYI: we all know SuF is only supporting this because it is currently opposite of the administration's policy.

 

I support this, but aren't wallhacks a .exe format?

I used to refuse to ban people who were doing this. I would just ignore the reports and let someone else do it since I did not believe in the rule. So no, I really think it is dumb to not let people sell them.

Runescape bots used to be .exes as well. It is not a hazard.

People can easily post a virus scan. They were very common place even just a year or two ago.

The problem with that is the fact that the hacks will be flagged by some scanners as a virus/trojan.

OT: I think it is hypocritical to say this site is all about cheating, then turn around and say that cheating on RS is alright, but not on an FPS or any other game that has hacks available for it. Honestly, open a section and try it out. You can always have admins watch over it.

You should be allowed to sell them, but only if you have a right to do so. Selling a log in to a site for hacks seems a lot like selling auth codes for bots, which isn't allowed.

 

Support. I agree with SuF in saying that you can just virus scan the hack using virustotal or something, but i'm just worried about determining whether a hack has false positives or if it's actual malware.

 

The bold text confused me. What do you mean? Like you may only sell those kind of logins, if it's allowed by the website?



This is a client downloaded from www.x22cheats.com . What I'm asking for, is to sell the login for this client, since I don't need those cheats anymore. Would that be the same as selling/buying auth codes? I can see you have a point there, but in my opinion it's just the same as selling/buying runescape/steam accounts.

 

hacks are way to wide, varietied we would have hacks/viruses/phishers coming out our asses with newfags sorry

 

Well, then just allow it to be sold from trusted sites such as www.x22cheats.com etc.

The main issue by the looks of things is the fact that the Virus scanner can think its a virus even if its clean, if there's a guide that explains the difference between virus infected and non virus infected and how to tell before you allow access then sure Idk why this can't be done.
