Allow users to sell/buy hacks for steam games?

as long as you arent aloud to sell server hacks or admin hacks or something.

 

Yea, it wouldn't really be a good idea to start allowing everyone to post exe's. However, I do support this because as he said, the user could sell the forum VIP access. I can understand not allowing Warez or cracks, this isn't that kind of site.

 

Selling Access to a forum is ok, but letting people post exe's al over sythe? Gotta be kidding me...

Its called a virus scanner. People used to post .exes all the time. There is no problem with it.

 

Virus scanners are fooled easily. Either way, i guess i really don't care... I wont download or buy, so it doesn't matter

 

First of all hacks ruin games. Secondly more than likely if someone can create there own hacks, or use hacks, they will know something about hacking. So could easily go about getting there "hacks" binded with a RAT or a trojan of some sort.

 

I'm not talking about .exe's here. I'm talking about selling VIP forum access to those well-known sites like www.x22cheats.com etc. I personally think those .exe's is a big no.

About your first line.. "Hacks ruin games". Well, bots also ruins runescape? Isn't it the same tbh? And then your name "iluv2bot" >_>

Cheating in CS is the same as botting in runescape imo.

If you can't identify the fundamental differences between a Runescape Bot and an FPS hack, then you are probably not capable of breathing out of your nose.

Do you really think this issue was never considered in the past? Has something changed with either Runescape Bots or FPS hacks that might call for a review?

Runescape is hardly a competitive environment to the calliber of any FPS, outside of player vs. player interactions, which aren't so cheat friendly. There is a difference between directly and indirectly affecting gameplay. Knowing everyone's position or obtaining instant headshots is a direct effect. Gaining some sort of higher
rank or skill or even flooding the market with a farmable type of item is an example of an indirect effect.

The guy botting Soul Wars and not talking isn't the douchebag, the dude that has been spinbotting the server for the last 15 minutes is.

So the guy that bots 99 RC and earns tons of cash then brags about it isn't a douche? When another guy spends 100's of hours doing it legitly ? Not to mention the money can be spent on items to kill other people faster, so yes its a DIRECT affect.

Botting runescape does not give you any abilities that you could not obtain normally, although through a boring process. You do not gain the ability to see through walls.

 

Runescape doesn't have walls. Besides, it automates a players actions. You can say a FPS hack does the same thing, at a faster process. Besides, in runescape scripts cannot inject into an .exe. However, with any non browserbased game, you can inject into .exe's.

Cheating is cheating, stop trying to say cheating in runescape isn't the same as cheating in COD.

Hacking is exploiting the game. I don't have the time or the want to explain it to you, but if you can't see the difference between the two then you are extremely ignorant.

I do support the use of PAID hack sales though. I just don't agree with you saying RS botting = Hacks.

 

The rules would have to be specified and it would probably lead to alot of people misreading the new rule & getting banned for using cracks/trojans and phishing techniques...

 

I'm assuming by this you've never played online FPS before.

I don't support this, seems like it will just cause more trouble than its worth.

 

What you said is pretty much right There isnt much of a difference.

 

Definetly support, there is no reason why this shouldnt be allowed.
