Elite Black armour, Related to new Dragon Plates?

This new armour called Elite Black has been released at the same time as the Dragon plate.

Is their a connection?
Something to do with the new quest?

yes. They are.

 

The Elite Black Armor was released along with a new "dagon'hai" robe set. I believe it is dropped by NPCs encountered only during and after the new Master Quest, making it essentially as rare as the new Dragon Platebody

I wanna see some people start wearing these. The prices are going to go up so much

 

dang i would stock up on these things but im freaking f2p right now.

 

Only a couple people have these items so far, after I get 3 herb levels I will begin the quest and learn more.
