    Naturally, I go with 2008 due to the vast feature improvements etc.

    2008 would lose, too many vb6 huggers. Dunno about you but old buttons are old.

    Agreed. The only language apart from ASM or Binary that has been number one for over 20 years is going to stay top for a _very_ long time. C and or C++ are the root of all systems, therefore its pretty impossible to make a language better than them using them.

    VB is dated, and should stay in the past.
