Mage boxing! Chances of losing 9 in a row?

If I had an Acc with 94+ mage and 95hp with 78 def what are the chances of me losing 9 in a row against any random Mage boxer?

Each boxing match is 50/50. Even though it is UNLIKELY it will happen, it is not IMPOSSIBLE. Even if you lose the first 8, the 9th duel will still be 50/50.

I've lost 10 in a row boxing. Odds of losing 9 in a row are less than 1%.

My personal best is 14 losing streak. What are the odds of it happening? 50/50 :)

Anyone thinking the chances are 50/50 is pretty uneducated about staking ;) A lot of factors influence the chance. It can easily go to 65/35 chance in a seemingly equal duel.

Thanks for the advice guys :) was just wondering we're doubling is a good idea? Say start at 1m and keep doubling. With 512M it will last u 9 tries:) win any1 of the 9 and u got 1m profit take runes and u start all over again:)

Assuming you have the same stats, using the same gear and spells and attack at the same time, there's still a completely random chance of winning or losing, since your hits (ignoring gear/mage level) are randomised. Therefore there's no way of knowing for sure.

Doubling can work really well for some, and other times it can lead to you getting wiped. So really every box is a gamble. When you start to lose too much, it may be a sign to stop completely.

Only problem with that logic is, getting cleaned earlier than expected makes for large losses. ;/ been there, done that. :p best of luck!

Mage boxing! Chances of losing 9 in a row?

Here is why doubling doesn't work....

Say I have 62m, and I start with 2m and double. I can lose up to 5 in a row.

    Every time I win, I win 2m, and every time I lose 5 in a row (62m total 2+4+8+16+32) I lose 62m.

Now, the odds of me losing 5 in a row are (1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) or 1 in 32.

    So 31/32 times I make 2m (for a total profit of 62m)! And 1/32 times I lose 62m.

Basically... What your doing is a pretty easy way to pick up a few mill as the odds are heavily stacked in your favor; however, this is not a viable long term staking method.

With the math above, after 32 stakes you should, theoretically, be back at your starting value. Using your numbers, 9 fights, you should be back at your starting value in 512 fights. Win 2m 511/512, lose 1022m 1/512 fights.

MBing is 50/50 no matter how you spin it, unless you find some in-game advantage.

    It's not 50% chance.

There's several factors: which spells to use and if you have PID and he's not maxed, etc.

Would be very high. Reason? You will probably get same combat level as you with like 99 HP, Mage and Def, giving the opposition a huge advantage.

Yeah I guess I forgot to mention in my post that if you were fighting against a maxed mage boxer your odds would start out at like 40% at best...

make sure you find the best way to mage stake before you try, and chances of losing 10 in a row are like under 1%

High if you don't have storm of armadyl. I lost 7 in a row the other day before getting cleaned for a bill, its very very very possible man.

It's possible, but u'd rather do one stake all in and just risk it for the bisquet then staking it 50/50.
