    help with weight/image issues

So, in the past two years I have lost almost 85 pounds. I was approximately 6'4 245 and now I am 6'5 160. However, I still look like I'm fat, meaning I still have a gut. If you just calculate bmi and such, it says I'm almost at the risk of being underweight. I don't understand, I'm not weak at all, I have decent muscle. I go to the gym, eat healthy. So what I'm asking is, how do I get rid of it? I'm starting to think that it might be just excess skin, but does that go away? Or am I stuck looking terrible for the rest of my life? :( to put it in perspective, I used to be a size 38x34 pants and now I'm 34x36.

I hope this is the right section, if not can a mod move it please, thanks.

Eat healthily and keep working out, losing weight fast will leave you with excess skin but I'm not too sure if it will go, you're best off asking a doctor or something about that.
But if you work on your muscles, when you get big that should stretch your skin out a bit :)

stomach fat is the the hardest fat to get rid of.

Keep doing crunches and etc and cardio.

Also make sure your daily dose of protein, carbs and vitamins are 100%. If u dont get enough proteins thru food. buy protein powder.

A doctor or professional is probably the best way to go, they can advise you on your individual needs and wants. If not, the last resort is surgery if you desperately want rid of it, but only if you've tried and tested everything else recommended to you.

Well 6'5 and 160 is really skinny. I'm 6'2 and the Army says they want me at 220. I was 357 and now I'm down to 297 and I'm not that fat, but then again I work out and lift weights so a lot of it is muscle. To get rid of the excess skin either build muscle in those areas, and/or drink a lot of water (I've heard that works.). So far in the 60 pounds I lost I haven't had any excess skin so I'm not sure why you would have any.

I'm also 6'5 but ~185 pounds and my abs are visible so I'm not sure what you are talking about. Being at 25 pounds difference I can't imagine how skinny I would be at 160 pounds. I'm personally more on the skinny side I'd say. Well I'm not sure, probably around 'normal' now. I'm personally aiming for 200 pounds by mostly gaining muscles.

You are definately not fat. I don't think you have excessive skin so I think that this 'fat image' is just in your head.

I have this same problem. I'm 5'11 and 160 pounds and that's definitely skinny for my height to weight ratio, yet I still have tummy fat >_<. I don't have much fat anywhere else though.
