alching question

slightly nooby question but i need to know

when people alch yew bows for gp how are they doing it

do they get all supplies themselfs?

buy the yew logs then fletch into finished bows? then alch?

whats the process and how much profit is expected per alch?

 

Most of em buy the yew longs (u) for a really cheap price and string them themselves for fletch xp then alch, but then again others just buy the longbows..

It's about a 75/25 ratio

 

whats gonna make me the biggest proft

 

obviously getting all stuff like picking flax/chopping yew logs/etc

but if not then chopping yews/buying flax/craft nats
if not then buying bowstring/chopping yews/craft nats
if not then buying bow string/buying yews/nats

 

As far as I am aware, there is no finished product that you can alchemy for pure profit

 

i buy magic longs and nats and make only 4k gp loss per 1k alch.

 

i thought that if you buy the nat and the yews then alch you make a profit?

 

If you buy just the logs, you still have to get the bowstrings somehow.

 

i got 10k bow strings and counting =) so if i buy just the log and the nat i should make bank so to speak

 

I wouldn't say "make bank", but if you strung the bows with strings you provided yourself, you would not lose money
