    £1000, what would you buy?

I forward this to you as I had a discussion in class and it was extremely interesting. If you had a grand on you right now, what would you go out and buy? The money is spare, so no bills or taxes, anything like that. I would buy something Motocross related, maybe sell my current bike and buy a new one. Get the discussion going; it's interesting to see what people would go out and buy.

    Edit: £1000 - $1596.
Just search in Google if you wish to convert to your national currency, which is none of the above.

i'd save the money to then go on a tour around the world and experience different cultures.

well atleast it would help me invest in my goal ;s

edit; not sure what you mean by a bucket list idea lmfao, if you want to state what i would buy then tickets to go abroad. does that really make a difference ?

You have to actually spend the money for a future reference guys. Like an object or something you'd buy. I made it a grand so no-one would say these type of bucket-list ideas...
P.S a bucket list is a list of things to do before you die, generally speaking.

''An index fund (also index tracker) is a collective investment scheme (usually a mutual fund or exchange-traded fund) that aims to replicate the movements of an index of a specific financial market, or a set of rules of ownership that are held constant, regardless of market conditions.'' These sound interesting! What is it about these funds that make them a priority over all the other great things you could buy/invest in?

I'll just save it up as I'm doing at the moment with my £800 and every time I sell something I just add on to it. So when that time comes and I need the money I won't need to worry about a thing:)

I'm aware it's not a lot; the low sum is what makes it interesting. New jeans? Sounds interesting, I'd never spend that much on jeans though. Chucks, chinos and a hoodie... all I need.

Not being rude but if £1K is nothing why don't you not donate it towards Sythe? Because it sounds like you think your a millionaire £1K can be a lot to people that need it.. Anyone can do so much things with 1K

Not that much ? I don't know what world you're living in same reply as above also goes to you

    not to be rude.

Some people like you guys don't appreciate what you have to be honest ..

Exactly this, amen. Better yet: give it to charity, do something constructive with it and stop being arrogant about your well-being. It's, well, unattractive to say the least.

As that is $1,600 in my currency, I'd like to say that I'd just save it for the time being. With university nearby, every dollar counts.

Exactly, wise decision also. I've seen many people blow their university fees on partying and cars. Every dollar does count, remember that and never treat money like a bitch, worship it, don't abuse it!;)
