Troubles with RA2\YR

Ok so I found my old red alert disks and figured what the hell I havent played in ages I'll install and play. I was wrong, I installed it fine as soon as I clicked the quick link on the front page the game acts like it's loading up goes to a black screen, and then I can here the music and it appears it not showing video but I can click on things on the side bar (I cannot see the side bar) and when I go to what would be a campaign game It freeze's up, anyone had this problem or know what could be wrong?

 

hmm well if your old game discs are like mine then there scratched up like crazy so they freeze and what not.

But if the disc is intact try changing your screen resolution.
