Great way to train mage?

Hey, I was just watching a PK vid, and I came across a AWESOME way to train mage....

You get you and a friend

Go to a PVP world

Both wear FULL IRON

and both bring whatever spell cast you want.

find a place where virtually no one is

Fail cast on each other for hours on end....

You can also do this without having the other person fail cast you aswell

so that other person can go afk while you cast spells on him and fail

Yes.... but I know a better way where you can actually cast and hit and the target never dies and you don't have to do anything... Also people could pj you.

 

Yea I knew about this but the thing is it gets way too boring.

 

It is not all that great exp, its utterly boring, and it has immense fail rate.

 

its supposed to have a huge fail rate, and you cant pj since both ppl are being attacked alaska, so get your facts straight.

 

Update a while ago made it possible to pj if you and your opponent are in battle too long without doing enough damage.

 

Wouldn't you still get logged out every 5 minutes unless you click tabs etc.?
So this method is sort of useless it seems, bad xp and just as much work >.>

 

This is garbage experience unless you have brawlers gloves.

Oh, then I guess it's a fairly viable method.
Have you tested this or are you just guessing that it would work well?

 

I'm assuming it'd work well if you had a twin for pking and wanted to get mage up together....

 

I always thought that after 5 minutes, you would get logged out regardless of status, but if somebody actually tries this then I guess we'll find out.

 

Jagex updated this...If you splash too often, then people can pj. Try doing this at your poh. Use a combat ring or something

 

Pretty sure you are correct, It's impossible to afk train now due to the update you mention. 99% certain it applies to PvP

 

You're better off alching, lol. If you are just starting an acc that has no cash, get full iron, go to Fist of Guthix, and failcast binds. 30 xp a cast, 10 casts a min, free runes.

 

I used to failcast on the ducks at the fishing guild a while ago, but it got extremely boring and the xp wasn't all that great.

 

Yeah, I have heard of this method before...
I don't know where though...

 

I tried this with my friend. It's ok. We chatted while doing this on msn and i ran outta runes after and hour and a half.
