Weight loss and tone progression! (not that good)

Hi guys and welcome to my weight loss and progression thread.

I've never shown anyone any of these photos so this is quite difficult, my anxiety is going over the roof just typing this. So, this is a five/six year progression, there are about three years worth of photos missing but you'll get the jist of it. By no means am I making this thread to boost my ego or show off. I am actually feeling rather low at the moment and de-motivated, so this, in a sense is a way of picking myself back up. I'll add a bit of writing to each photo.

For anyone here who has taken the piss out of someone for being fat, please remember that we all share unspoken and similar struggles, whether it be to do with food, mental health, family etc. We can never really understand what someone is going through - it's impossible. Calling someone fat, ugly or stupid can really ruin their day. But anyway, enough of the preaching. I'm only mentioning this because I used to be called fat and ugly by a lot of people, and I let it get to me because I had no one to talk to about it, and being the weight I was, you can only imagine how self conscious I was.

When I was around 17, I remember going into a clothes shop with my best friend Riyan. I told him I liked a jacket, and he told me to try it on. As simple as that task sounded, it was near impossible for me to do, I thought as soon as I picked it out to try it on - other people would think " why is this fatty picking a jacket up? " I remember going home that night and thinking, what on earth has happened to me? I'm not happy, I'm scared, self conscious and alone. I didn't want to live that way anymore, I had to do something about it.

Me, aged 17, 108kg, 5,11". Body fat percentage: SNORLAX

So, It took me about Four years to lose twenty-two kilos, and yeah, it's not great but I still did it. I didn't really lift weights at all. I dropped my carbs and calories in general and did cardio three/four days a week. Also, this is a photo of when I'm 21 years old, so I had grown a few inches too which helped. The image below was taken the first day before I joined the gym, and the percentages and weight were checked in the gym, the day after.

    Me, aged 21, 83.5kg, 6,1". Body fat percentage: 23.7%

6 months later, slow progress, I started going to the gym to try and lift weights, I didn't know what I was doing though, no one does when they first join lol. Did not make any gains at all Because I wasn't eating enough, so I ended up losing weight instead, but I dropped a food 4% body fat, it gets harder the lower body fat you become.

    Me, aged 21, 76kg, 6.1" body fat percentage: 19.5%

After that, I still continued going to the gym, but I still wasn't eating properly, I just lost way, way too much weight, I felt weak and shit but I couldn't mentally convince myself to eat. I had literally shrunk my belly too, I was full after eating a piece of bread. The owner at the gym noticed that I had drastically lost weight, I was clearly not in the right mental state at this point. I thought he was insane, I still thought I was fat. But looking back at this photo now, Jesus Christ... The thing is though, because I was so fat, I was left with this piece of stubborn fat that was like impossible to lose! Also, I'd like to add, at this point, I was eating 1,200 calories a day. Don't do it guys... It's fucking horrible.

Me, aged 22, 66kg, body fat percentage: 16.4%

So, I took a lot of advice from the gym owner, learnt a lot about working out and the gym and began to apply it. You see, it's not just nutrition and exercise that can affect how well your physical appearance changes. Did you know stress makes it harder to lose belly fat? Not enough sleep stops you from growing etc. This is a photo of me taken four months after the last, I've slowly put weight back on and the good stuff only! I know I don't look amazing, but to me, comparing this to the first couple of photos - it's one hell of an improvement! So, I'm gonna keep going, slowly putting weight back on and lifting properly.

Me, aged 22, 71kg, body fat percentage 16%

I will keep this post updated, it's a way of not letting myself down. If there's one thing that has stuck with me, as motivation it is that failure is trying, and then giving up, where as success is trying, giving up and trying again. You can do whatever you want with a positive attitude guys, surround yourself with positive people and watch life unfold. I really hope this post has motivated someone, in any shape or form.
