Physics 11 HELP!!! please and TY!

Moving on in physics 11 course just finishing up work/power.

Couple questions i need help with

    #1
A pendulum bob is moving 1.8 m/s at the bottom of its swing. To what height above the bottom of the swing will the bob travel?
    answer: 0.17m

    #2
The initial speed of a golf ball, struck with a driver by professional golfer Tiger Woods, has been measured to be 285 km/h. From what vertical height would you have to drop a golf ball, if it is to reach this same speed as it hits the ground? Assume that air friction can be ignored.
    Answer: 320m

Formulas to use, how to use them, or step involved

All help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

    Conservation of energy:
    m*g*h = 0.5*m*v^2

    #1: h= 0.5/9.8*1.8^2 = 0.17
    #2 h= 0.5/9.8*79.17^2=320
