    No audio from 360

My Xbox 360 (old one) hasnt been giving out any audio for a little while, I made sure everything was plugged in correctly, which it all was. I even went along and did a continuity test on the cords, and everything checked out fine. this is all running through the normal RCA cables. soooo im thinking its something inside the xbox itself.
does anyone know a way to fix this, because microsoft customer support is garbage, and i dont have my warrenty anyway.
    any help much appreciated.

You should probably try plugging it into a different TV just to make sure it isn't just your TV's RCA audio jack.

yes, i have plugged it into multiple TVs with no luck.
I'll also add that the audio stopped working while i was watching a movie and the volume on my TV was rather high, I dont think that would make a difference though
alllsoooo the component HD on it doesnt work either, and i dont have an HDMI TV to test with the hdmi

Meh, idk then. Try maybe cleaning out your port for the RCA cable?

GameStop. One word says it all for this situation they'll know what's going on with your Xbox before anyone else can tell you. Generally any other game branch too!

Does not matter to them if it is under warranty, because they are just going to charge you. But I would use a store as your last resort, as they charge you up the ass for a simple service that will probably take them 5 minutes.

    >start it up
    >let it load
    >remove hard-drive (while its on)
    >put hard-drive back in (while its on)
    >you now have sound.

This is a temporary fix that's proven to work, but the only thing i can consider doing after that is completely remove all cables from tv and xbox all together to reset the connection.
