Magic training to 94

I'm debating returning to the game, wanting to mess about in the wilderness with barrage and the Vengeance will also help a tonne seeing as my account is a range tank (but normally pk in void).

So I'm currently 56 magic or something. I want to know the fastest way to 94, the most cost effective method of getting to 94, and possible a method which incorporates both the cost problem and the timescale involved.

For suggestions please give examples too, so if you suggest alching, what items should I do? I'd prefer to buy slightly cheaper items and alch for minor loses than alch expensive items like rune armour just to make small profits, as deep down I would want this done as fast as possible and am happy to incur some cost in getting to 94.

The fastest ways to get level 94 are posted all over YouTube.
The most cost effective method would be AFK mage training, which can be done 6 hours at a time (don't believe Jagex will ever patch this).

As far as incorporating a mix of the two, I'm not sure what I could possibly recommend.

I got 84-88 recently, along with 80+ smithing, I did this by making tonnes of profit too.

Buy addy bars (2-1-2.2k each), make into addy bolts, add diamond tops + enchant them. = Free mage experience + profit

 

what is this afk method you speak of?

 

string amulets with lunar magic from 80-94 is the fastest and most afk magic training there is

 

For the early levels, this method is extremely fast. It remains (in my opinion) the most efficient way.

If you wanna go efficient x100

Get your wc up and woodcut yew logs, fletch them into yew longbow (u)'s and alch them. Good profit but takes a while.

 

Hmm, doubt I'd go for for afk method, seeing as the 160k bloods required or whatever would cost me 50M. Willing to spend about 10-20m, so might try find a reasonably easily obtainable item to alch, however still 100k alchs to do. Tempting to make my own yew logs, just a shame I'm a lazy ass when it comes to Runescape haha.

 

Afk mage at chickens in pvp worlds it's completely afk and using mind runes 99 Mage will only cost like 10m. However it will take super long like 2 months non stop or something but it's cheap and afk

 

How long can I afk mage them? Will I be logged out after like 6 hours or what? Just wanted to know risks involved with randoms too or ways I might die, as if I don't get logged out it's tempting just to leave it afking chickens all night whilst I sleep.

 

You do it in full melee armour on chickens or rats (they allways hit 0). Since you got a big - in mage attack bonus you will allways splash. You will get logged out after they 6 hours in combat. There are no randoms in pvp worlds which is why people choose to do this in those worlds.

 

Knew the first bit but the 6 hour is what I wanted to know, cheers. And yeah that's a good shout I guess, might give it a shot overnight and see how it goes.

It costs more than 50m and with the addition of elite clues, death and chaos are skyrocketing cause of the trident. With the method unb4nn3d just posted, its causing blood runes to also skyrocket. This is highly expensive and not worth it.

Just alch while doing other things.
