AFK mage training

I love sythe. I love facebook. I love runescape.

When I skill, I want to be able to do all these things at once. Until now I've had little trouble AFKing every skill you can name. Until I hit magic.

I want to be able to train magic with as little attention as possible. Currently I am at level 82. I was thinking bandits with a decent magic bonus and high stab defence bonuses (items like arcane spirit shield etc). Any ideas here? What spell do you think would be most effective? Is the polypore staff a good option?

I heard barraging bandits is good exp plus quite AFK able never tired it personally?

 

If you do bandits, just use Protect from Melee. You spend a lot more on runes than you would on Prayer Potions.

 

But then I'd need gear with a prayer bonus. And that means less magic bonus.

 

yeah, but more afking?
Or try blood barraging in maxed gear like arcane full ahrims/virtus?

 

I'm only level 82 mage though. I'm looking at blood burst (which is multi target gives 38 base experience + 0.2 experience points/damage and costs 2k/cast) or wind wave (which gives 75 base experience +0.2, is single combat, and costs 750/cast).

 

Use simba and bot alch, thats what im currently doing

 

If you ice burst/ice barrage at Ape Atol on the skeleton mummies, it is probably the absolute best exp you will be able to get if your looking for speed, and you can also AFK!

You can't AFK forever, mind you. But if you bring a bunch of prayer potions OR prayer renewals with a few regular prayer potions, you will be able to turn on auto retaliate and autocast into the giant pile of skelies. Its great for AFK training, and all you have to do is click back every 2 minutes or so to sip a prayer potion. If you want more time, then use prayer renewals as it significantly decreases the drain rate of your prayers. Bring the revenance aura aswell.

This method brings in about 200-300k per hour, depending on your magic level and your gear. Also, your prayer level determines how long trips will last in between banking. The higher the prayer level & slower the drain rate = the longer you will go before you run out of supplies. Good luck!

I'd worry more of afking because better to stay away longer and get more xp not worrieing
