Just a quick question - Does Sythe have an IRC?

I'm unable to search "IRC" on it's own due to the word being too short. Whilst searching alternative words, the only thing I found was a mention of www.striked.org, however when I entered, the place was deserted I also stumbled upon www.phrased.net and www.sythe-irc.org, neither of which currently work.

If not, would it be worth mentioning it within the suggestions section? Alternatively I'd be more than willing to attempt to set this up myself if the idea was supported. Assuming the reason the previous versions died was due to inactivity, perhaps the fact that Sythe seems to have a healthy number of members could help to ensure that this one would have enough interest to keep going?

Nope, Sythe doesn't have an official IRC. We've had several unofficial ones in the past, but those died out due to lack of interest and activity. The most recent one started by subaru_fan only lasted a few days despite constant promoting, advertising, etc., so I personally wouldn't recommend wasting money/time on another one.

 

Damn that's a real shame.

Was there a thread about it anywhere other than the spam forum?

We advertised the IRC in the donor lounge, spam forum, and in community general.

 

Yes we did give it a go but the demand simply wasn't there, I would happily open a Skype group chat if anyone wants me to, similar to Chloe's one

 

I think it'd certainly be something to consider. If you run with this idea, and it's text based rather than with a mic, keep me in the loop, I'd be interested
