Sythe Ranks. (Extra)

Hey I just wanted to say that umh. Why don't we have like ranks giveaway.(not mini-ranks).

Just like, If you have 50 Vouches - (Trusted)
50 Referals - (Refer'er)
.....etc.

 

It shows another level of trust when compared to miniranks. Having 100 vouches achieved from selling upgrades is a completely different story than doing it merching gold (unless selling 10-20m in every trade).

Ranks wouldnt mean as much if every member had it. It would give people less of an incentive to try and become staff, and actually retain it. Also one can only have 4 ranks. There are ways of getting ranks:
- Getting staff
- Mod logs by being an active staff
- Donate
- Become a SVU (Sythe Verified User)
- Winning a competition

They also gave a fun rank (zombie) on halloween to a lucky user.

There's no need for fun ranks for what you're asking for either. Newcomers will find it misleading.

 

I'm somewhat liking the referral rank, but not as a fun rank. Just another Mini-rank.

There is a mini-rank for referrals, If you get 10 in 30 days or something. It's a sticky somewhere I read.

Problem with that mini-rank is that it's not permanent. No way I'd be willing to try to get 10 referrals each month.

Just because you have 50 vouches doesn't mean you are trusted, there is still a chance you may give in to greed and scam no matter how many vouches you have.

Nope, these ranks are for highly trusted members.

 

Miniranks are around for the sort of thing you're talking about. And it'd be hard to really quantify something for a "trusted rank" - that's why "Highly Trusted" is only available directly from Richard himself.

Also, just a note, 50 vouches isn't very trusted at all as a general rule

Maybe 500Vouches = Highly Trusted.

 

Still no. Very few have it, very few will get it. Requesting ranks like this won't happen.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. We do appreciate your thoughts. The Highly Trusted rank will never be obtainable by quantifying vouches - you must understand, not all vouches are created equal, and often times users may have 500+ vouches but have only been trusted with amounts of $5. That said, I like your referral rank idea. We have a referral mini rank, and I'd like to see if we can make it a permanent mini rank (or, at least longer lasting).

 

Keep in mind there are ribbons for referrals as well



but if anyone has any minirank suggestions for higher tier referrers, feel free to post them here

 

He specifically stated in title not miniranks though. I believe there is no further discussion needed in this thread and if anything one of you, or OP may make a thread in the feedback section for miniranks for referrals.

 

No point closing it if some sort of discussion and addition can come of it. Suggestions are all about discussion, or making suggestions fit.

 

Even for topics that 100% won't get any attention in by the higher-ups?(Ones who will implement it) But very well then.

 

If something good comes of it and it seems reasonable, it'll be implemented. That's what I'm here for ;p

 

Im saying that there must be some requirements for the ranks. (not including donating). Like theres a rank called (Secret Asian Man). How to get it? No one knows , that what im looking for. How to OBTAIN it.
